I am an animal advocate and love them dearly. I am a special education teacher. I have my own animals and bring animals into my classroom and they are wonderful additions to my classroom and my students. I have rescued over 45 bunnies all different breeds and found them loving homes. I have personally fostered kittens, guinea pigs and bottle fed different types of birds. I have experience with dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds (parakeets, love birds, green cheek conures and cockatiels). When I was in high school I worked in an exotic pet store. Hello! My name is Natalie. I most recently completed a public policy fellowship with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute in Washington, DC. While I discern my next career steps, I’m looking to spend some time doing something that energizes me— working with children and youth! I have served as a private babysitter for toddlers and young children, a student teacher for two first grade classrooms, and a summer camp counselor. Finally, as a family engagement specialist at a local childcare financial assistance resource and referral agency, I worked with parents and children to improve positive child development. I’m an art teacher with nearly 10 years of experience working with children of various ages. Over the years, I’ve worked as an after-school counselor, a camp counselor, and currently as a full-time teacher.
