Hello! I’m Isabella and I am new to the city! I was born and raised in Venice Beach, CA. I moved to New York to be closer to my family who live on the east coast and to live with my best friend who will be attending graduate school at Columbia! I studied Psychology at UC Santa Cruz where I focused on childhood and adolescent development. Throughout college I was a nanny and worked at a local preschool where I was able to conduct my senior research project on emotional regulation in preschool aged children. I formed strong and lasting relationships with the families I worked with and stay in contact to this day. Many families I worked with prioritized Montessori schooling methods, so I am familiar with that style of learning. My first year out of college, I worked as a Teacher’s Aide at a school for special needs children. I worked with children ages 7-14 who had varying IEP’s for things like autism, dyslexia, and ADHD, among others. I was trained in CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) methods to de-escalate high-stress situations. I am a highly patient, playful, and responsible person, and I take pride in working with families and children. In the next couple of years, I would like to go back to school for a Master's in Marriage & Family Therapy, as I am interested in relationship dynamics and communication strategies. In my free time, I love to be active and outside! I’ve played volleyball my whole life, so I am eager to find a rec league in the city so I can play. I also love to travel and am lucky that my family prioritized this growing up, so I’ve been lucky to travel with them! My experience as a nanny has varied depending on each family’s needs, but I am familiar with school pickup/drop-off, snack and meal planning, homework help, bed/bath time, and planning daily activities. I have experience and am comfortable with overnights after getting to know the family and their children, as well as traveling as needed. Hello. My name is Anjanette and I'm currently a substitute teacher at various locations across Jersey, and intern as a copywriter in the city. I graduated from ASU summa cum laude in 2019, and had moved to London for grad school in 2019, returning to the states in 2020 due to the uncertainty surrounding covid-19. I am offering child care, senior care, pet care, some household services (housesitting, etc.), and am happy to provide proof of my fingerprint clearance card. I have significant experience in child-care. I have worked in contracted positions with DCS advising parents and supervising visitations in order to determine appropriateness of returned custody. I have been working as a teacher for the past couple of years, and am able to offer tutoring services, specializing in English, Government, Social Studies, Theatre, and Creative Writing. I have twin 13 year old nephews and enjoy finding ways to play and engage their very different personalties (one dirt bikes and is outdoorsy, and one is interested in engineering and video games.) I was a caretaker for my grandmother and am comfortable with general senior care. I'm not a great cook, but I'm happy to errand run, chat, and accompany seniors to events, or just do wellness checks. I am allergic to cats but happy to work with families with dogs-- I am a huge dog lover. My family has always had big dogs, and I have a stubborn little (35 lbs) dog myself named Beckett.
