Hi, I’m Katana! I’m currently looking for a summer nannying position and would love to support a family that values patience, creativity, and attentive care. My availability starts May 25th, but I have availability to meet and get to know your family before May 25th, just ask😁
I work as an Education Assistant at a school for the Blind, where I primarily support children ages 2–4 with multiple disabilities, including cerebral palsy, autism, quadriplegia, and sensory needs. This role has taught me how to support and encourage independence in children while meeting them where they are. It’s also given me strong skills in G-tube care and troubleshooting, following individualized routines (ISP), supporting PT and OT goals, creating engaging arts and crafts, and reading nonverbal communication and body language. It has also strengthened my attention to cleanliness and organization, keeping environments safe, tidy, and supportive for daily routines.
I have basic training in braille and sign language and am always eager to keep learning. I am also First Aid trained and prioritize safety while creating a calm, supportive environment for every child.
While my professional experience is with younger children, I’m open and comfortable working with kids ages 2–12. I bring a patient, adaptable, and nurturing approach to each child’s unique needs.
I’m also an animal lover! I have a high-energy dog of my own, so I understand the importance of keeping pets active, engaged, and cared for. I’d be happy to help with your pets as well.
Looking forward to connecting with your family!
