Trustworthy, patient and hard working nanny with more then +9 years experience, caring for children from newborn to school going age in many different family settings. I have worked as Friday night or Saturday night, weekend sitter, overnight, weeknights or on call sitter for some great families and looking for extra babysitting hours, short notice or part time position. I had fun traveling with families seeing some great places and having fun while working. When my studies brought me to Hamilton College, I continued to babysit for professors and administrators alike. There I pursued an interdisciplinary major in Genetics & Social Justice with a focus on reproductive health. I require a minimum of 48 hours notice if you’d like to cancel or reschedule a booking. Otherwise, I expect 50% of the payment for the booking. 2. I request a car service home for bookings ending after 8 pm. 3. I am willing to care for sick children as long as they’re not contagious, but please notify me in advance so I can plan accordingly. 4. I expect payment for the full booking even if you return home early. 5. My booking minimum is 3 hours. 6. My pricing for babysitting and private tutoring are distinct. I'm Ali. I’m originally from Seattle and moved to New York in 2015 to study acting. I joined UrbanSitter during college and have been using it as my day job ever since. I have 18 years of childcare experience, ranging from date nights and private nannying to daycare and summer camps. Over the last four years I have began working in arts education as a teaching artist and youth theater director. I’m the 2nd oldest of 10 so I’ve been around young kids my entire life and am used to watching multiple kids at once. Due to being CPR and First Aid certified since I was 12, I’ve gained years of experience watching kids with varying disabilities and medical conditions, and am very familiar with working with children who are autistic, have epilepsy, or have life threatening food allergies. My go to activities are coloring, board games, going to the park, reading, movies, and arts and crafts. Outside of childcare, I am an actor, writer, and run an indie theater/production company. I’ve spent the pandemic studying trauma informed, consent based rehearsal spaces and mental health first aid. Both of these skills have been easily transferable to my childcare work. Cancellation policy: cancellation less than 24 hours my policy is full payment. If it’s within 72 hours, it’s half the agreed payment, and more than 72 there isn’t a fee. If you come home more than 15 minutes late with no communication I reserve the right to charge a late fee on top of that extra time. If you come home early I still charge for the full time booked since I had to block that time out in my calendar, unless we’ve agreed on it beforehand.
