Hi! My name is Kate, and I’m a certified educator with a strong background in Montessori education, early childhood and elementary education, special education, general education, and family support.
I hold dual certification in Early Childhood Education and Childhood Education, with training and experience supporting children across both general and special education settings. My background includes working in Montessori school environments, supporting student programming, partnering closely with families, and serving as a trusted point of communication between parents, children, teachers, and school leadership.
What makes me stand out is the combination of warmth, structure, and professionalism I bring into a home. I understand child development, routines, emotional regulation, independence-building, and the importance of meeting each child where they are. I’m calm, patient, highly organized, and intentional about creating an environment where children feel safe, respected, and engaged.
I also love language learning and cultural curiosity. I have studied Spanish, Italian, Chinese, and music, and I enjoy incorporating songs, conversation, reading, creative play, and age-appropriate learning into my time with children when families are interested.
Professionally, I’ve worked closely with busy families, school communities, and executive leadership, so I understand the importance of trust, discretion, reliability, and clear communication. I’m especially comfortable with school-aged children and can support homework, reading, routines, creative activities, after-school transitions, bedtime, snacks/meals, and child-related tidying.
I’m available for flexible evening and weekend babysitting, including date nights, occasional care, homework support, and family coverage. My goal is to provide care that feels warm, thoughtful, and dependable — so parents can feel fully at ease and children can feel genuinely cared for.
