Glorious Day! I am Atmavidya "Adryn" Mari. I am a Bhakti Yoga practitioner who recently relocated from Houston, Texas, to New York City to teach Eastern Yogic Philosophy to high school youth. I am a certified Ayurvedic Practitioner with a B.S. in Marketing and Supply Chain Management, yet my passion resides in the cultivation of sustainable living and lifestyle choices through Bhakti Yoga. Recently, I have been using my Ayurvedic degree to support individuals and families to transition their kitchens to be more environmentally conscious with a local, whole foods focus. I taught three years of gardening classes at Durham Elementary while living in Houston. I enjoy allowing children exploratory experiences as their minds are young and shaped by engagement. I tend to give children parameters, rather than hard rules. I love reading with a cup of herbal tea or chai, taking nature walks, playing in the garden, visiting the farmer's market, meal prepping, experimental food creations, painting, coloring, embroidery and laying in the grass looking at the sky. These are all activities I am open to sharing with your child(ren). Caveat: I am a strict vegetarian, so I am unable to feed or cook with meat, eggs, or fish. Yet, my child-friendly cooking skills are on point - Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, marinara with hidden vegetables, fruit salad, blueberry pancakes, just to name a few. My smile is contagious.
