Originally from Orlando, Florida, I made my way north by way of UNC-Chapel Hill, where I graduated before ending up in Brooklyn. I developed curriculum, managed scheduling and instructed every class. I have worked as a nanny for over a decade before having children of my own and now take part-time work. Some of my favorite jobs included two brothers, ages 4 and 11 who enjoyed playing adventure make-believe and basketball, respectively, who I nannied for 3 times a week for about a year before graduating. I also loved my time as a nanny for three brothers, ages 6, 9, and 12 who had packed schedules to keep after school: practicing piano, doing homework and playing soccer outdoors, who I watched for over a year. I will also never forget the family who lived in my building here in new york, whose daughters - ages 4 and newborn I watched at least once a week, sometimes more, sometimes just coming over to play and visit; ballet, painting, storytelling, and going on adventures full of imagination and play were all part of the itinerary - all while keeping to the required schedule for feeding and bedtime, of course. :) Most importantly, I have 3 siblings, including two younger brothers, both of whom I adore. I am older than the youngest by 7 years, so by the time I was 13 I not only began babysitting professionally but also proved both my responsibility and joy to play on a constant basis as I watched over my brothers. I have an 11 year old niece who is the apple of my eye. I was 16 when she was born, and my sister worked full time, so my primary job in high school was to come over after school and take over for my mom and watch my niece for the day, starting when she was a newborn to around 2.5 yrs old at 2-3 times a week for long afternoons until my sister came home. Hi, my name is Bahia (pronounced ba-ya) and I’m a film major at Pratt Institute! I’m originally from Oakland, California and moved to New York to pursue my education! I am offering child care. I am CPR certified. I have EMSA Health and Safety certification (requirement for working at a school/daycare in CA). I also have gone through the process of having a daycare license in CA, it is not currently active as I now live in NYC! Every summer I work at a french immersion daycare in Oakland called Les BouTchou. I worked there full time from January-August 2024. I worked with babies ranging from 3months to 2 years old both within the daycare and as a babysitter! Additionally I worked as a substitute preschool teacher for kids 2-4yrs also at Les BouTchou. Hi, my name is Anikka and I have graduated with a Sociology Degree with a minor in Spanish. I have obtained my masters degree in School Counseling to hopefully become a School Counselor. I have been working with children since i was 14 years old and have been continuing to do for the past 12 years. During these past 12 years, I have babysat children ranging from infancy through 11 years of age. In addition, I was a tutor for 5 years where i have helped children with their homework and helping them advance to the next reading level.
