Hiya! I have 15 years of experience working with kids of which I was a nanny for 10 years, and I’ve worked with children from 2 days old to 17 years old. I've also worked in several schools in different roles, working with students both with and without special needs ages 6-19. I spent the 2[removed] school year in San Antonio working as a mentor and tutor in a highschool with City Year, a well known AmeriCorps program. I worked with students on behavior, set goals for improving attendance, and wrote lesson plans as well as tutored them in English 1 and 2(9th and 10th grade) to improve their grades. I have previously taken child development courses pertaining to positive discipline, behavior, and nutrition, and my CPR classes are always up to date. I love going to the park, beach, museums, and anywhere worthwhile. I love to construct anything a child can think of out of various materials, and am open to any ideas that they can throw at me. I adapt to any given child's needs, as not all children are the same. I do however enforce rules and guidelines that I feel are needed to have a great time without harming anyone in anyway. I am open to different parenting styles and techniques and will adhere to them with your child. I have experience providing care during weddings, corporate events, family parties, theme parks, and full weekend/overnight care. Ask me about my overnight(24hrs of care) rate! Cancelations with less than 72 hours notice have a fee of 50% of booked time. Cancelations with less than 24 hours notice must be paid in full. Hi! I'm Isabelle, am 29 years old and live in NYC. I have an AA in Art and a BA in Politics. I work as a case manager/community organizer at a food pantry on the UES. I used to babysit during college and always enjoyed it which is why I still occasionally enjoy picking up some gigs here or there :) I grew up in Germany with an American mother, a German father, and am the oldest of 4 siblings. I'm fluent in both German and English and have worked with bilingual kids in both a nanny and teaching environment. After graduating from HS in Germany and professionally working in the performing arts growing up, I was interested in working socially with families and kids who were less fortunate/had special needs. In the summer of 2015, I started an art+living project in Germany with kids and families who had fled their countries. In 2016, I became part of a therapeutic horse farm that focused on working with kids with special needs. I have experience with night-nannying, sleep training, feeding, and multiples. For those of you with older kids, bedtime routine is no problem either as I have had many longer term after-school gigs as well. I am confident in navigating the city responsibly, including school pick-up, and use of public transit.
