Hi I’m Riley and I’m an engineering student at the University of Cincinnati. I am currently a dance teacher and am CPR/ first aid certified through the Red Cross. Through my dance teaching job (ages 2.5-12) I regularly receive training on behavior management and childhood development. A little about myself, I grew up dancing as a ballerina and I also danced competitively. I have been assisting dance classes of all ages for over a decade and love to help kids learn! My favorite part is that got it moment when an idea or concept finally clicks and the joy from the child is so contagious! I have experience babysitting throughout high school for family and friends for babies, toddlers, and school age children. I am good with math and science and can help with homework in any subject for school age children! My name is Emma :) I am 20 years old and currently living in Covington, Kentucky, where I am enrolled in the nursing program at the University of Cincinnati. I am training to be a NICU/pediatric trauma nurse. Before I moved here for college, I lived in a small town in Ohio and loved babysitting for nearby families a couple of times a week, and especially on the weekend. I have been babysitting ages 1-12 since I was 16 years old. I am available most days except Thursdays from 11 am-3 pm due to classes. I have also gone through a child CPR class and 3 babysitting courses through the American Red Cross. I am also able to make meals, clean the house, and feed pets as well. I’m a mother of 3 (3,5,7) and an occupational therapy assistant (16 years) and certified personal trainer (3 years). As a mom of three, grandmother of three, and a former K-3 teacher (B.S. Ed from Miami University), I bring a wealth of experience and a calm, organized energy to every home. Beyond my background as a YMCA camp director, I am a graduate of the Paws-Ability dog training program and am comfortable caring for everything from high-energy dogs like my Australian Shepherd, Piper, to smaller friends like turtles and birds. I find working with children, the elderly, and pets to be very rewarding. Part of my volunteer experience includes spending time with Veterans in assisted living or memory care. I love hearing stories they share about their life and watching their face light up as they relive the memory. I have learned so much from the wealth of knowledge elderly have. Watching children master tasks they are given because of your guidance is so satisfying. Just being around the pure, genuine, honest, curious, carefree and unfiltered perspective on the world that children have is so refreshing. It motivates me to provide them with the best possible environment to keep that curiosity alive. The unconditional bond that develops as you work with animals is so pure and incredibly rewarding. Animals don’t have hidden agendas, they love you unconditionally. They are loyal and are always so happy to see you. My current work in accessibility has given me a deep appreciation for clear communication and attentive care.
