Hello! My name is Ericka! I am looking for weekend gigs cuz this economy? Whew chile! Mon- Fri, I work at a child care center. My cohort are just starting to turn two! I’ve been with this cohort for about 18 months. My youngest started at 7 weeks!!! I started child care back when I was 16 and worked for about 10 years before switching careers. I worked as a bus driver for quite awhile! A couple years back, I left Trimet to come back to my true love (despite the wage). I’m REALLY familiar with 3 and under, but love older kiddos too! I’ve worked with 10 yrs and under in a professional child care setting and done some babysitting for 11 and 12s. Pet wise, I’m not terribly familiar or comfortable with snakes, but as long as I don’t have to hold or feed one, them just existing isn’t a problem. I have a small dog named Georgie. I love going for walks, swimming, parks, child friendly spaces, movies, music, books, etc. As a current child care worker, I have my cpr and first aid cert., food handlers card. Hi, I’m Charlie! I’ve lived in Portland for about 3 years now, but I am originally from Massachusetts. I am currently a senior psychology student at Reed College and I am planning to go to medical school post-grad. I have worked with kids of many ages, either through volunteering with schools (tutoring), or looking after family members and children of close family friends. I plan to work with kids in behavioral analyst positions, too, once I finish my undergrad degree. I am also taking some art courses and American Sign Language this summer; I love crafting, making art, and learning new things. In my free time I play music and sing. I unfortunately do not have a car or a driver’s license, but do plan on getting my license sometime this summer. I would call myself a very responsible, innovative, and caring person. I am also very attentive to detail, as as well as being CPR certified! I have current First Aid and CPR. For children, I m a grandmother and enjoy the ages and stages. I am able to help with homework, basic meal preparation. Problem solving and accountability. As a female, infants are something we deal with off snd on throughout life. For seniors, I m a friend and assistant. I have cared for a husband who was down for 4 years. Mostly looking to provide respite care. Or 1-2 half days/ week. Housekeeping and meal preparation as needed. Prefer cats over dogs, due to size and rambunctious nature.
