Hello! My name is Juliet, I am a 31 year old residing in Bella Vista, and I have over a decade of experience caring for children ranging from toddlers to teens. I currently nanny for a 2.5-year-old and previously cared for two school-aged children, as well as worked as an after-school teacher with students from Pre-K through 6th grade. I have a passion for working with people of all ages and abilities, with a particular focus on infants/toddlers, adolescents, and teens. My professional and volunteer background includes experience in child care, education, experiential learning, and as a social worker for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Currently, I am working as a youth rock climbing coach, where I have expanded my knowledge of experiential education and coaching skills, as well as developed a passion for mentoring and empowering young people. Through my work and volunteering, I have experience working with individuals of varying physical and intellectual disabilities. This has taught me the importance of compassion, patience, and effective communication in building meaningful connections with others. I enjoy adapting to different individual’s needs to create inclusive environments that allow people to thrive! In addition to my work with people, I also have experience with house and pet sitting. I am a dancer artist, educator and have worked with children my entire adult life. I have over 30 years experience teaching children of all ages, including pre-school age all the way thru high school. I have taught at the college level as well, for many years as an adjunct faculty. During the pandemic I was a full time care giver for my elderly mother and discontinued all my teaching and creative projects. I recently moved back to Philadelphia, my home of 30+ years and I am looking for part-time work as I start up my free lance work again. I am 62, married with no children of my own. I have always loved working with children and now I have experience working with the elderly as well. I am a mature, playful, warm, creative, responsible and reliable person. I love being outside, games, physical and creative activity, arts and crafts and music. I am.organized and relaxed. I can be efficient and also easy going and flexible.
