Hi! I’m Tara, and I’m an experienced nanny and babysitter available for occasional evening and weekend childcare, including date nights. I also offer pet care and household services.
I’ve been caring for children since I was 14 and have experience with all ages, from infants and toddlers to school-aged children. I've worked as a full-time nanny for several families, including multiple summers during college and two years caring for children ages 5–10. I also spent one year as a full-time classroom teacher for grades 3–6 and two years as a substitute teacher.
I'm comfortable with all aspects of caring for little ones, including bottle-feeding, diaper changes, meals, bath time, bedtime routines, and keeping children entertained with age-appropriate activities. Whether it's reading books, playing games, doing crafts, or spending time outdoors, I enjoy keeping kids engaged and making sure they feel comfortable and cared for.
As a nanny and sitter, I've also helped with much more than child care. I've prepared meals, driven children to activities, helped with homework, done laundry, made beds, grocery shopped, unloaded the dishwasher, and kept things picked up throughout the day. I've even helped families organize pantries and children's play areas. I'm always happy to pitch in with the everyday tasks that make life a little easier.
I'm also a huge animal lover and a certified veterinary assistant. I have experience caring for both dogs and cats through veterinary care, boarding, and pet sitting. I'm comfortable with pets of all sizes and have experience with dog walking, feeding, administering medications, and caring for animals with medical needs, including giving insulin injections to diabetic dogs.
I'm dependable, organized, patient, and easygoing, and I genuinely enjoy caring for children and animals. I understand how important it is to feel comfortable with the person you're trusting in your home, and my goal is to make sure you can head out for the evening or go about your day knowing everyone is in good hands.
