Hello! I am Kierra, I am currently a sophomore at Sam Houston, studying psychology with a minor in applied behavioral analysis. I plan to one day become a child psychologist specializing in childhood trauma. I am the eldest daughter with 3 younger siblings, as well as over 20 cousins, so I have plenty of experience with childcare. I currently work at a hospital as a phlebotomist so I have first aid experience, as well as experience with seniors. I have no problem with cooking, cleaning, helping with homework, working through hard emotions, and having plenty of fun! I have 2 cats, and I helped dog sit through out high-school!
I have experience caring for children in both family and community settings. My responsibilities included supervising daily activities, helping with homework, preparing meals and snacks, keeping children engaged with fun and educational activities, and maintaining a safe and positive environment. I have worked with children of different ages and learned how to be patient, responsible, and attentive to each child’s needs. Through these experiences, I developed strong communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills while building trust with both children and parents.
