Hello! My name is Emily. I am a pediatric speech therapist. I love children and have worked with kids of all ages throughout my life in varying roles from nanny to therapist. I decided to become a sitter because in therapy, my time working with a child was typically limited to a 30-minute timeframe; additionally, more of my time was spent writing lengthy justifications for insurance companies than working with the child. The reason I chose to work with children is that I enjoy them! And I want to spend time with them, engaging them on all levels. I was a single parent (until my daughter was 10 years of age) before meeting my amazing husband who I've now been married to for 24 years! Although we have become empty-nesters, I remember the challenges that come with parenting, and I have extreme gratitude for those who supported me through the years with their time, love, and encouragement. P.S. I now have a grandson and granddaughter who are the apples of my eye (I promise, it is the best role ever)!
