Elsa 1 review
$18 per hour for 1 child

Hi I’m Elsa, and I’m Hispanic with a lifelong love for caring for children. Since my early teens, I’ve helped my grandmother care for many little ones—family, friends, and neighbors—gaining experience with diaper changes, feedings, and playtime. I recently had the joy of babysitting a 2-year-old boy while his mom worked from home. My responsibilities included diaper changes, preparing simple meals, light housekeeping, and playtime. I became very close to him, watching him grow from crawling to walking independently after physical therapy—it was truly a special experience. We’d go outside on sunny days with his little car, play with his blue ball and blocks, and wind down together with his favorite shows before naps. I also accompanied his mom on several doctor’s visits, helping out wherever I could. I’ve also cared for a 1-year-old girl and a 3-year-old boy. We’d often take walks to the nearby park where the older boy loved playing hide-and-seek. I bottle-fed the baby girl, rocked her to sleep, and made sure both children felt safe and cared for while her mom did her long nurse shifts. In addition to babysitting, I help my mom raise my energetic 1.5-year-old baby brother. He’s always on the move, loves to climb, dance to music, and pull me by the hand to play with his cars. Taking care of him has taught me patience, attentiveness, and how to manage the unexpected—which, with toddlers, happens often! I genuinely love being around children and form strong bonds with every child I care for. I’m confident in my ability to keep your little ones safe, entertained, and nurtured. Thank you for considering me! We can negotiate hourly rate :)

I have 10+ years of experience taking care of children of all ages and abilities! I have experience working at a home daycare, as a full-time nanny, and as a cheer coach. I enjoy caring for infants, toddlers and young children. I enjoy being an aunt to 3 nephews (all under 6 years old). We do activities such as going to the park, arts and crafts, or working on developmental skills- especially for infants. I have 2 small dogs- an 8 year old and a 2 year old. I am okay with caring for most cats, but I have mild allergies to some cats (only those with a lot of fur).

Hello all! Thanks so much for your interest! Kids have been a passion of mine ever since I was young! I have been babysitting since the 7th grade, and I was long term (every day after school, Saturday nights, and Sunday mornings and afternoons) for a family in Atlanta for over 4 years. I also traveled with them on their beach vacation as an extra pair of hands. My other experience includes volunteering at my local church with newborns, infants and toddlers. Along with my nannying experience, I was also a camp counselor for two summers (2012 and 2013) with the University of Georgia 4-H program, working with middle school students. Because I was lucky enough to be selected for this competitive position, I am CPRO (CPR for the professional rescuer) certified, as well as a certified Red Cross lifeguard and certified in First Aid. Along with my camp training, I was also a lifeguard in high school in the summers before I graduated as a trained American Red Cross Lifeguard, and was also trained in the Red Cross Learn-To-Swim Swimming Lessons program (k-12). Along with my camp experience in Georgia, I had the wonderful opportunity of working with Camp Galileo in the Bay Area (2 years) and I was a senior team leader at the Manhattan Beach location for Camp G's first summer down south! After working as an outdoor educator (with 4th. 5th, and 6th graders) in the southern California mountains for two years, I moved back to the Bay Area in 2016 and have been working as a nanny ever since. With all my experience, I am able and willing to work with all ages, as well as take any courses parent(s) find necessary to prepare for whatever age needed. I am willing to have a separate background check as well as provide extra references. I love kiddos and I love to be on their level and connect with them. I love fostering an environment for creative play and I consider it a true gift to be able to help them learn, explore and discover! Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to hearing from you! **UPDATE ON MY PROFILE AS OF 7/2019** I recently took on a new position as a behavioral technician for clients with special needs, providing ABA therapy 6 days a week. Bittersweetly, I no longer have any extra time available to babysit. However, if I delete my UrbanSitter profile I will loose all of my contacts and the wonderful references I have received during my time on this amazing platform. I wish you the best of luck in your search! Thank you!
