Hi, my name is Tatia. I am very energetic, organized, dependable, and genuinely caring. I love spending time with children, creating fun activities, and helping them learn and grow at the same time. Over the years, I have worked with children of many different ages in both daycare and educational settings. I previously worked at the daycare center at RefugeeOne, where I cared for groups of children ages 1–11. I also volunteered as a tutor for middle school students, helping with English, math, and science homework. In addition, I spent two months doing service work at a daycare center in San Jose, Costa Rica, and worked for about three years in the after-school program at Lycee Francais de Chicago (French school) with children ages 3–5. Professionally, I have spent the last several years building my career in property management and operations leadership. I am currently in between career transitions and taking time to thoughtfully decide on my next long-term professional move. During this period, I would love to return to working with children through occasional and part-time babysitting, as it has always been something I genuinely enjoy and find fulfilling. I’m a parent of 1, my daughter is now an adult. I retired from the Army after 20yrs in 2016. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and have worked(played) in their nursery for over a year in my church. I have also taught in Sunday school 3-5yr olds and 12-15 yr olds. I love babysitting kids because I only had 1 and wanted more. I wouldn't have been able to continue in my career or make it to retirement if it wasn't for the babysitters & family I had for my daughter. I have previously worked with infants and toddlers (0-3) as an early interventionist/child development specialist. So I have lots of experience with children of all ages & developmental levels (: I’ve also worked with summer programs, volunteered in children’s hospitals & have babysat professionally for 10+ years. I have done everything from long term, date nights, classroom pods, play dates, school or practice pickups, overnights & weekends.
