My name is Erika and I am currently working as a on call at Kaiser. I am offering child care, senior care, and household services. I love taking care and working with kids. I worked as a afterschool staff for 5 years and I worked as a Pediatric Medical Assistant for 7 years. And also did babysitting for 1-2 years. My responsibilities have included walking and driving to/from school, tutoring, soccer and dance lessons. Also assisting with homework, snacks and playing indoor/outdoor activities. I can also work as a household assistant with cleaning, running errands and other tasks. I have been a caretaker for my grandmother and am comfortable with senior care. I can drive to appointments or do other tasks needed. I own a Maltipoo myself and am willing to care for dogs or families with dogs.
Hi! I'm a student at Columbia University with over five years of babysitting experience and currently work as a Senior Counselor at UC Berkeley's Explorer Camp, where I've spent the past two summers working with children ages 5–6. I'm CPR certified, have a reliable car and can provide transportation if needed, and I'm happy to help with housekeeping, meal prep, laundry, and other household tasks. I also grew up with multiple dogs, so I'm very comfortable caring for pets and am happy to help with them too! I'm fluent in English and comfortable speaking Spanish. I'd love the opportunity to get to know your family and provide dependable care!
Hi everyone! My name is Francesca and I’m currently a full time graduate student looking to work closer to my school with a more flexible schedule. I currently go to school for psychology in a dual masters program for MFT/LPC and forensic psychology. I also work with children 11-17 years old that struggle with their mental health that also have various medical conditions which helps provide me knowledge and experience when it comes to medical emergencies. Not only am I BLS certified, but both of my parents are also nurses so I’ve been around medical knowledge for a very long time. I love working with children of all ages and enjoy cleaning, cooking, and taking care of others. I have experience with kids of all ages from 3 months old to 17 years old. My babysitting experience started when I was 16 years old and began in the family. I took care of my baby cousins who were 8 months old and 6 years old. The 8 month old baby boy is also autistic which taught me so much patience and understanding at such a young age which I continued to grow and develop these skills. The most recent family I was a babysitter for moved to Texas a couple years ago but the children in my care were 18 months old and 4 years old. I was with the family for 3 years but within those years, it has taught me so much and brought so much joy into my life. Activities I enjoy doing are teaching children new skills, tutoring for school, and playing games with kids to keep their minds and bodies active. Working in my current job has also taught me many new arts and crafts skills that I enjoy teaching and sharing with others. When it comes to senior care, I only have experience through family. I have had close relatives who unfortunately became very sick and dependent of care takers and I was able to have the experience of taking care of them by helping transfer them from a wheelchair to the bed, adjusting their bed to ensure stability and comfort, how to keep them clean and fed, and to also keep their minds occupied and happy. I am naturally a caretaker and enjoy being able to care for all no matter the age. I am able to help cook, clean, run errands, and provide transportation. I have a great love for animals of all kind and would also enjoy/be comfortable working with them as well. I’ve had animals all of my life and currently have 2 dogs and 2 cats who I love spending my time with.
Hello there, My name is Afsana—just like it’s spelled! A fun fact about my name is that it means fairytale or story, which I think is a perfect way to connect with children. Taking care of children is not as easy as many people think, but it’s something that has always come naturally to me. I’m the second oldest of seven siblings, so growing up I often took on the role of a second mom—making sure everyone was safe, supported, and taken care of. That experience helped me develop patience, responsibility, and a deep understanding of children. Another fun fact about me is that I work in the dental health field, mainly with kids. I work in a pediatric dental and orthodontic office, so you might occasionally hear me talk about dental health—please excuse me if I do! While I may not have formal childcare certifications, I have years of real-life experience caring for children and building meaningful connections with them. I enjoy engaging with kids through books, movies, games, and everyday activities. I truly believe that when you’re around children, you have to be a kid at heart. That’s how they feel comfortable opening up, being themselves, and sharing their little adventures with you. Many people have told me that I’m a “child whisperer” because of how naturally I connect with kids. I love their curiosity and I’m always happy to answer the thousand questions they tend to have. If I have the opportunity to babysit your child, I will always prioritize their safety, health, and happiness. Childhood is such a special time, and I believe those experiences stay with children for the rest of their lives. I would do my best to make sure your child feels safe, supported, and has a wonderful time. Thank you for your time and consideration.
