I go to college at University of South Florida and I am in school to become an elementary teacher! When I was in middle school up to my sophomore year of high school I would volunteer at my old daycare and was a teacher assistant. I am very passionate about becoming a teacher and working with children is my favorite thing to do. I loved playing with and creating lesson plans for the younger children and it inspired me to become a teacher.

I come from a family with two younger siblings and two older siblings, so I’ve always been around and comfortable caring for children. I’ve also volunteered with children through dance and community programs. Living on my own for the past year has helped me become very responsible and independent, especially with cooking, cleaning, organizing, and managing multiple tasks at once. I’m outgoing, kind, patient, and dependable. I’m comfortable keeping children entertained while also making sure they are safe and supervised. I’m able to multitask, stay calm when things get busy, and complete responsibilities in a timely and safe manner. I’m also bilingual in English and Spanish and am comfortable caring for children of different ages and personalities.

Hi! My name is Emily and Ive been working in educational childcare since 2018 with a focus on children with intellectual and physical disabilities. Im going to USF for speech pathology and would love to babysit for your family. I am CPR trained. I do my best to avoid screen time and will opt for low stimulation shows when possible! I have my own car and no speeding tickets, so Im willing to help with pick up and drop off or any other driving based errands. I love to read, paint, and try new recipes and would love to share that in an age appropriate way, especially with themed arts and crafts options! I have a BSW (Bachelor of Social Work) from USF. I am a licensed Realtor . I like to stay busy and have volunteered for over 30 years with a local hospital. Since Covid, I am not longer doing that. My greatest joys in life are my two sons and six grandchildren. I am active and enjoy taking my grands to the park and the pool. I also enjoy helping home schooling them. I have volunteered at my church for years, often taking people to doctor appointments and chemo. I have my own car and am able to run errands if needed. I love cats and dogs. I enjoy walking dogs. The last dog I took care of, Sunny, needed long walks. We did 3 miles a day plus. This was in Idaho. Not sure that is practical in Tampa in the summer.
