Hi, UrbanSitter families! 👋 I’m a lifelong Chicago-area resident, mom of three, and a trusted, experienced caregiver who truly loves working with kids of all ages. I’m a non-smoker, fully COVID-vaccinated and boosted, and I prioritize safety and reliability in everything I do. Caring for children has always been a huge part of my life. I’ve been a paid babysitter since my teens, am the oldest of six siblings, and spent 10 years as a Girl Scout leader—planning activities, leading overnight camping trips, and even international travel! While a GS leader, I maintained annual infant/child CPR and First Aid certification for a decade. Families describe me as punctual, dependable, calm, and creative. I love doing crafts, imaginative play, and reading. I’m always happy to help with meals and leave your space clean and organized after our time together. I have extensive experience with infants, toddlers, school-age children, and multiple siblings. I was state-registered as a respite caregiver for children with special needs for several years, and currently provide ongoing mentorship and care for a teen on the autism spectrum. Availability: I’m looking to support families during evenings and weekends. I have a standing commitment with another family on Sunday mornings but am available weeknights and most weekend days and evenings. A little more about me: I’m an art enthusiast, knitter, runner, and problem-solver. I’m happy to share access to my (privacy-protected) social media accounts so you can get to know me better, and I always welcome a call or Zoom chat before booking to be sure we’re a great fit. Booking details: • Mon–Thurs: 2.5-hour minimum • Fri–Sun: 4-hour minimum • Cancellations: – Less than 12 hours’ notice: 50% of booking – Less than 4 hours’ notice: 100% of booking I’d love to get to know your family and be a caring, dependable part of your village 💛
Important notice: I will not be available until December 23rd. I won’t be available for any bookings until then. Hello. My name is Jenn, and I am a former K-3rd grade Art teacher and currently an English teacher in Spain. I will be back in Chicago soon and would love to continue connecting with families. I have worked with children of various ages and love keeping them active and engaged in fun activities. I speak both English and Spanish and have experience teaching Spanish as well. I have two cats, so I don't mind taking care of pets as well. I am a very outgoing person with a bubbly personality. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Master in psychology and education for kindergarten and elementary school Experience with small kids - IQ Ive been an au pair for 2 years Easygoing, friendly, with a lot of ideas how to provide entertainment for kids Active, healthy lifestyle Love children in all ages :)
“Sandra was wonderful!”
Hi, my name is Kati! I have been working with kids and pets for 12 years. I am currently in the process of going back to graduate school for Occupational Therapy, hoping to work in the pediatric sector. I just finished a summer internship with a pediatric occupational therapy clinic where I learned about developmental milestones, sensory needs, and helping kids communicate, as well as a variety of other skills! I currently provide part-time after school care to three children, so I have a good amount of flexibility and availability for daytime coverage, and date nights. I have also provided after school nannying for a family in Cincinnati for two years and a one other family in Chicago for three years. I have provided childcare to dozens of other families across the city, including for school closures, childcare gaps, and date nights. I’ve worked in the childcare part of conferences and weddings multiple times. I was a camp counselor for a theatre camp for two years leading ages 5-18 through a variety of activities. I currently volunteer at Lurie Children’s Hospital’s Almost Home Kids. I am CPR certified for the fifth time.
“Kati was quick to respond to my job posting and answered all my questions. She helped supervise several small children at my wedding reception and was a huge hit with the parents and kids. The parents loved how attentive she was. I would recommend Kati for any typical babysitting job or event babysitting! Thanks Kati!”
Hi! My name is Dria and I am a college student studying in downtown Chicago at Roosevelt University. I am living in an apartment in Pilsen, and am available to work anywhere accessible by CTA! I am CPR and First Aid certified! I have 6 siblings, 3 of them being younger than me (2, 6, and 10 years younger!) so I have a lot of experience with kids of all ages. I have done a lot of summertime babysitting for family, friends, and more. I also worked as a Camp Counselor at a children’s summer camp! I can cook, clean, and of course ensure that your children are in a safe, comfortable, and fun environment!
