Hello, I’m Vera a very caring grandmother who continues to care for children and 4 legged pets. I am now a family friend after caring (nannied) a 15 yr old girl & a 9 yr old boy, cared for boy since he was 3 months old & is presently in 4th grade. He considers me his grandmother. He spends overnighters on weekends because he misses me. I also work on a doggie sitting service when friends and neighbors need a pet sitter. I continue to being active and assist with children and dogs in a very positive environment. March, 2025 began to Nanny to a 2 year old boy. I am located in Carol Stream, Illinois. Received Flu & Covid Shots in Nov, 2024. I am a very active nurturing Mom, (grandmother), YaYa. However struggles came in the way , the language barrier being one of them provided me with my first job at 8 years old as a translator . . I not only was “working” but it served me as it helped me practice my second language but most importantly I found much meaning and value in my mothers work...I loved going, I was able to make friends with their kids , build relationships and left inspired . Along the way, I was blessed with having nephews and nieces. Nine now! Growing up as a tight-knit family we’re always around to help each other out. Fast forward to my late teen years into young adulthood I started taking babysitting gigs as side jobs. I enjoy not only watching after kids but being able to not only be a teacher to them but most importantly learn from children themselves . I was a bilingual / ESL teacher for 10 years and have plenty of experience working with children from ages 5 and older. I love the spontaneity and unpredictability of working with kids. I have a dog of my own and plenty of experience with animals, as I also have been a volunteer at PAWS no kill animal shelter.

Growing up my grandma owned a daycare and I would help her take care of kids and plan arts and crafts time for them. I also have recent experience over the past 2 summers of working at a stay away camp looking over multiple different age groups of kids over the age of 6 full time. After my first summer I was promoted to leader of my cabin group and have learned to keep things together, better my communication, and still keep kids happy! Pets wise, I have 3 cats and a dog so I know how to manage!
