I am currently a junior at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, studying political science. I have been babysitting since my early teen years and was a volunteer counselor at Catonsville Presbyterian Church's summer camp for two years. While the majority of my experience is with school age children, I have also worked with toddlers and older infants. I am happy to cook simple meals, do dishes, and pretty much any other chores that might be needed around the house. Aside from that, I’m a fun-loving, attentive, and creative caregiver, always happy to spend time with kids. I am a nurse practitioner (current practice owner) who never had children of my own and have always wanted them. I have medical experience beginning at Children’s Hospital in DC on their behavioural psychiatry unit, my nursing internship was a Cambridge hospital on the pediatric behaviour program. After becoming an NP in 2005, I spent several summers as a camp nurse at the Barrie School in Silver Spring, MD. I have also worked with their 4 year olds for aftercare and substituted in the baby room when needed. My other experience includes being the lead NP at JHH on their Meyer 6 unit for 4 years and some time in the Anesthesia department. Working with children has been my most fulfilling work. My extensive care of children in various situations should make any parent feel confident in choosing me as a caregiver.
