Hello parents! My name is Annie- a native of the D.C. area, I live in Baltimore, have family in Silver Spring, and commute to NW D.C. so I’m happy to pick up jobs anywhere in the area! What I bring to the table: •Nearly 20 years of experience with childcare and household management for preschool-to-high school aged kids and families. I was with my previous family for 14 years and have been with my current family since 2019. •Intuitive and fast thinking- I am able to quickly troubleshoot situations and navigate decisions without handholding. Fixing problems before they become problems. •Almost spotless driving record (one camera ticket in the last few years), plus a squeaky clean criminal record. I am very comfortable driving, navigating rush hour, parallel parking, etc. I have my own transportation. •Funny, down to earth, and strong in my convictions- would like to work with a family on the same wavelength. •I love to cook and am familiar with many different cuisines. The downsides: •I am only available for occasional or as-needed work. I currently work part-time with a rolling schedule so I have decent availability but cannot commit to a set schedule. •I am a night owl and prefer to work afternoons and evenings. I used to work part-time at a daycare for 5+ years and also babysit for several families, giving me hands-on experience with routines, playtime, meals, naps, and creating a safe, positive environment for kids of all ages. I love keeping children engaged through crafts, pretend play, outdoor walks, playground trips, and fun activities that encourage creativity and learning. Families describe me as dependable, attentive, and easy to communicate with. In addition to childcare, I also have experience with dog sitting and dog walking, so I’m very comfortable around pets! I am originally an Early Childhood Educator by profession. I have been working with young children since 2011. I have experience also in working and helping older kids as well as seniors.
