I have over 15 years of prior experience in Early Childhood Education in licensed preschool centers and training in Early Childhood courses. I studied techniques in safety, guidance, health, and positive sense of self while promoting social, mental, and physical growth in children. Hi! My name is Jahiyyah. Ever since I was younger, I’ve always known that I loved being around children and working with them, which has lead me to where I am today. I’m currently in college, majoring in Early Childhood Education. I also work full time at a Reggio Emilia inspired preschool in DC, so I’m available on weekends and occasionally on weekday evenings. A few fun facts about me: I love reading, writing, anything arts and crafts related, and traveling. When babysitting, I love to bring different activities - depending on the kids’ ages - to keep them engaged (coloring books, watercolor paint, air dry clay, puzzles/board games, etc.) as well as walks around the neighborhood/to a local park for some fresh air.
