Hi! My name is Sam, I’ve been in numerous healthcare and childcare roles over the past 3-4 years. I’ve worked as a nanny or babysitter for families of different orientations, sizes, beliefs and backgrounds. I have a 2 year old myself. I’ve worked as a PCA and have had the certification since September of 2020. I’ve been a licensed CNA for 1 year and I’ve worked as a ParaPro in Special Needs. I’m always willing to try new things and be flexible to help fit the needs of your family!
My name is Clare and I am a Pediatric Occupational Therapist with a passion for working with children! I currently work for Children’s Minnesota but would love the opportunity to spend time babysitting and helping families in my community in my spare time. I am hard-working, creative, playful, and have extensive experience with children both professionally and personally. Originally from Colorado, I love spending time adventuring in the outdoors. I live with my husband in Minneapolis where we enjoy live music, hiking, skiing, and time with family.
Hi Families, I may be new to this app, but I am definitely not new to child care! I got my first job at a child care center in Rosemount when I was 16 years old working in the infant room. I worked there for a year and a half, then spent a year in the toddler room (changing more diapers than I could possibly count). I continued to work there while I was in college, and became the “lead teacher” of the preschool room! During this time I spent two summers nannying for a family that had two identical twin four year old boys, and an 8 year old girl two-three days a week. I also had countless babysitting jobs on the weekends! I eventually had to leave my kids at that day care when I was 20 years old because I got a job at the university of Minnesota’s Child Development Center working with the 4 and 5 year olds. I also was involved in a research project called Chicago Longitudinal Study promoting early education for low income neighborhoods around this same time. I graduated with a Developmental Psychology degree (also knows as Child Psychology) and began my Masters program in Clinical Social Work with a speciality in family and children. I now work at a elementary school in Hennepin county as the school therapist for the children! I’m looking to use my experience to make some extra money to pay off some of the student debt. I’ve always loved working with kids, and I have the experience and education to back it up! I have experience with all ages, and I’m happy to answer any questions you may have! I’m willing to negotiate on pricing depending on the situation.
With a strong foundation in service and dedication, I am a compassionate caregiver and military veteran, bringing a wealth of experience and a nurturing spirit to every role I undertake. With a Bachelor’s degree, I combine academic knowledge with practical skills honed through diverse experiences, including my time as a para-professional within the school district. In this role, I have provided support to young children and those with special needs, ensuring an inclusive and enriching environment for all. As a proud dog mom to a 14-year-old pup, I understand the importance of companionship and empathy, qualities that translate seamlessly into my caregiving approach. My professional background as a kitchen staff member at a Girl Scout camp has further developed my ability to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, catering to the needs of children and fostering their growth through engaging activities. Additionally, my passion for gardening reflects my nurturing nature and commitment to fostering growth—both in plants and in the lives of those I care for. I am dedicated to providing high-quality care, ensuring that every individual feels valued, supported, and empowered. My unique blend of military discipline, educational experience, and a heartfelt commitment to service, I am not just a caregiver but a steadfast advocate for the well-being of those I serve.
