Glorious Day! I am Atmavidya "Adryn" Mari. I am a Bhakti Yoga practitioner who recently relocated from Houston, Texas, to New York City to teach Eastern Yogic Philosophy to high school youth. I am a certified Ayurvedic Practitioner with a B.S. in Marketing and Supply Chain Management, yet my passion resides in the cultivation of sustainable living and lifestyle choices through Bhakti Yoga. Recently, I have been using my Ayurvedic degree to support individuals and families to transition their kitchens to be more environmentally conscious with a local, whole foods focus. I enjoy allowing children exploratory experiences as their minds are young and shaped by engagement. I tend to give children parameters, rather than hard rules. I love reading with a cup of herbal tea or chai, taking nature walks, playing in the garden, visiting the farmer's market, meal prepping, experimental food creations, painting, coloring, embroidery and laying in the grass looking at the sky. These are all activities I am open to sharing with your child(ren). Caveat: I am a strict vegetarian, so I am unable to feed or cook with meat, eggs, or fish. Yet, my child-friendly cooking skills are on point - Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, marinara with hidden vegetables, fruit salad, blueberry pancakes, just to name a few. My smile is contagious. Hello! I would describe myself as patient, friendly, understanding, reliable, and great with kids :) Feel free to ask for the contact info of my references! As of right now, I am the regular sitter for 4-year old & 10-month old sisters. I am seeking occasional/one-time jobs for when I have availability. I previously worked at Breindy Active Fitness. I would watch 2-8 kids at once, all under 3, and many were newborns. I have experience playing with children, calming them from tears, feeding them, changing diapers, reading with/to children, night-time & day-time routines, and more. In my senior year of high school I interned at the Jewish Community Center Day Care. I was a teacher aide for a classroom of 5 year olds. One of the kids had special needs. In high school, I was a part of a club that contained kids with autism and kids without autism. We did many different bonding activities together that exercised my capacity for patience and understanding. I raised with a dog and a cat in the house for over 12 years and consistently took care of them. I often dog sit/cat sit/house sit for my friends when they are on a trip.
