Booked by 1 family in Long Island City, NY

Hi families! My name is Chantal and I’m a childcare provider based in NYC for 4 years with 6 years total of hands-on childcare experience. I am currently studying Childhood Education and have a strong background in child development! For the past 4 years, I worked closely with one long-term family, helping care for their child as they grew. As they’ve gotten older and no longer require care, I’m excited to connect with new families here on UrbanSitter! Throughout those years, I also worked consistently with several other wonderful families on an occasional basis, building strong relationships along the way! :) I genuinely enjoy creating a fun environment for kids, and arts & crafts are definitely one of my favorite go-to activities! While I’m new to UrbanSitter, childcare is absolutely not new to me! My profile may still be growing, but I’m happy to provide excellent references and recommendations from the amazing families I’ve worked with upon request. I look forward to meeting your family!

Hello, my name is Vanessa, I`m 31 years old. I’m able to speak both Spanish and English, I recently graduated from Communication and Corporate Relations. I have experience with babies, toddlers and kid’s ages from 0 to 12. In 2015 I signed for an exchange program called Au pair in California where I took care of several kids from different ages and backgrounds. I lived in their homes with their parents and had to do all kinds of chores including driving them to places, helping them with homework, preparing meals and many activities day by day. In 2017 I enrolled with Care.com and worked with different families. In Urban Sitter I’ve been since 2014. I count with plenty infant experiences, 3 full-time jobs in total, from new born ages. I have First Aid, CPR and swimming training certification. I’m reliable, easy going, punctual, proactive, organized and enjoy my job because I get a long very well with kids. I count with more than 8 years of experience and excellent reviews and references. I also have a great profile in care.com with more updated reviews. Hope to hear from you soon ! Vanessa

“Vanessa helped us go to a wedding recently. She watched two 2 yr olds and a 4 mo old. She fed them dinner and got them all to bed. My daughter, who is notoriously slow to warm (just ask her grandpa!) took to Vanessa immediately, holding her hand and playing with her. She woke up the next morning telling us she liked Vanessa. Vanessa was great with our girls, punctual and responsive when we were checking in. Would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for childcare!”
