Hi, I am Pema! I have been working with children ages 4-11 for the past three summers at Tree Frog Treks, a science and nature focused summer camp in San Francisco. In my role as Naturalist, I led groups of children in full days of exploring, productive play, and hands-on inquiry-based learning about science and nature in Golden Gate Park and throughout the city. I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Human Nutrition at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, with plans to attend medical school in the next two years. I have a strong passion for women’s health and preventative medicine, and I truly enjoy caring for and supporting others. Beyond academics, I’ve grown up in a large family surrounded by children, which made babysitting second nature to me.
