Hi, My name is Angela and am originally from Wales in Great Britain, UK. I am now a triple citizen (USA, UK, Italy). My vacation to America back in 1981 resulted in acquiring a green card from working as a Governess/Nany for a Dr. and his family in Tenafly, NJ. The children, boy & girl were 7 & 4 years of age when took care of them. I love children and have recently returned to babysitting. My work is video production therefore have a flexible schedule as run my own business. I am divorced and have no children and have 2 nieces in New Jersey and a nephew in Wales. My hobbies are dance, music, photography and yoga, recently completing my teachers training in yoga. Here is a recent testimonial: "Angela has done a wonderful job caring for my daughters, ages 4 and 7. She picks them up from school 3 days per week in two different locations and takes them to after school activities. She has been extremely reliable and easy to communicate with, and is kind and patient with my girls. I always feel confident that they are in good hands. We are so fortunate to have her helping us out with our busy after school schedule! I would highly recommend her to other parents."

“Angela was our regular babysitter for nearly 2 years, from when our son was 2-3 years old until we had our second baby. She did pick up for us 1-2x a week. Angela is a gem of a find in NYC -- extremely reliable, flexible, gentle, gracious and a truly good person. She is like hiring an aunt or extended family member. She will love your children, practice yoga with them, dote on them and be a beautiful presence in your own life. Any family would be lucky to have her as part of their support network!”

Hello! My name is Jennessa (first name Kathryn). I'm 27, and have been a nanny and babysitter for multiple other wonderful families over the course of the past 7 years with kids ranging from newborn (4 weeks) to 10 y/o. While I am new to the UrbanSitters platform, I have previously worked through a nannying agency and will gladly provide references from my past clients. I love pets and am very comfortable with being around/ caring for them, am CPR/First Aid certified, speak Spanish, and have years of experience as a private tutor. I have a BA in English from Boston College and spent the past two years working a very draining writing job in the legal field. The entire time I missed the kids and families I used to nanny for, so I am regrouping and reentering the childcare field! My goal is always to provide a safe, fun, low-stress environment for children where they feel comfortable expressing themselves. I also love to foster the development of strong language skills and creativity through reading and storytelling. I am often described as calm, patient, creative, and engaging. I'd love to hear more from you and learn about your childcare needs!

Booked by 7 families in Long Island City, NY

Hello! My name is Ana and I am offering child care and pet care. I love babysitting and have watched toddlers, kids, dogs, and cats (also can do other animals!). My responsibilities included keeping the kids entertained, helping them with their schoolwork, putting them into bed, cooking for them, and even picking them up from school. With dogs and cats - my responsibilities are taking the dogs out for a walk, keeping up the training routines, and at times keeping the dog company. For cats — I make sure they are feed and the litter box is cleaned (which is super important especially for cats), if the cat is playful - I enjoy playing with them. If not, I can sit there and enjoy each other’s company. Whichever flows their boats. I can sail around them. I dog trained for 3 years at Petco from 2016 - 2018 (I still practice my skills on my cat and other dogs I meet) I have worked with various dogs like Hound dogs, Poodles, Corgis, and the list can go on. Cats! I have one of my own and her name is Leche. She is the sweetest. I love taking care of pets and children. I love engaging with them and helping others with their little ones (animals and children). There’s a joy that comes with being an extra hand and being at service for others. I have not yet cared for Seniors but happy to be a caretaker. Hope to be your sitter, Ana :)
