Hi! I’m a happy, loving, fun, and outgoing mom to a curious and energetic 3-year-old boy. I’m also an Early Childhood Education and Special Education major, as well as a paraprofessional with the NYC Department of Education, with hands-on experience working with children in both classroom and childcare settings. Throughout my college program, I complete approximately 120 hours of supervised fieldwork each semester, working with children of different ages in early childhood centers and classrooms. These experiences have helped me learn how to support children’s development while creating an environment where they feel safe, comfortable, engaged, and cared for. Caring for children has been a part of my life long before college. I grew up in a large family and began helping care for my younger brother when I was 10 years old. I'm Marina, and I'm based in Brooklyn. I currently work part-time as the Development and Partnerships Director for a nonprofit providing education and mental health support to women and girls in Afghanistan, and I have about 20-25 hours a week available for a family in need of extra help. I have 19+ years of experience working with children, from newborns through high school, across nannying, daycare, summer camp, tutoring, and classroom teaching. I lived and taught at a school in India for close to two years, worked at a summer camp for refugee youth, and have held roles spanning operations, client experience, and learning and development. All of it has made me someone who pays close attention and builds trust with the people I work with. I emphasize technology-free, creative, and confidence-building play. I think carefully about who each child is and what they specifically need, and I bring that same intentionality to everything from an afternoon activity to a homework session. Of course, I still love a fun movie night! :) I've held certifications in Infant and Pediatric First Aid and CPR and am happy to be re-certified. Hi! My name is Lily, I work and live full time in New York, and I went to Virginia Tech for school. I love being a babysitter and I’m trying to find opportunities to continue baby-sitting here. I have been baby-sitting since I was about 14 years old. I’ve sat kids 9-11, and my younger cousins who are 3, 7, 10, and 13. Hi there! I’m Madeleine, and I’m attending NYU at the moment. I am a Psychology major, and find working with kids fascinating as you can really see skills and proficiencies develop. I have worked as a babysitter for children from 5-12, and as a summer camp counselor for children from 4-13. I have also worked in temporary childcare for children from 6 months to 12 years.
