Hello! I am an experienced parent of a college-bound 17-year-old son and nurturing children comes naturally to me. I hold a graduate degree in art history and, during the week, work full time as the director and curator of a small art museum. I value children’s natural curiosity and bring a patient, creative, friendly, and steady approach to childcare. I am comfortable caring for one to two children at a time to ensure focused attention and personalized care. I enjoy engaging children with crafts, board games, puzzles, books, and general creative play. I prioritize open communication with parents, and I'm very comfortable upholding household rules. As a mother myself, I know the importance of having a trusted caregiver. My goal is to provide a safe, stimulating, and caring environment to ensure your child/ren feel secure and happy while you're out—and to provide you with peace of mind!
Hi there! My name is Gigi. I'm originally from Seattle and currently live in Bushwick/Ridgewood. I am 37 and am a performance maker and CLOWN! I attended the University of San Francisco, where I graduated summa cum laude with a BA in Media Studies. I have worked with kiddos as a babysitter, tutor, and dance teacher since 2008 and from 2[removed], I worked as a long term nanny and family assistant. I then stepped away to focus on my artistic pursuits! I was a dancer for a long while and have more recently been pursuing performance art and physical theatre by way of theatre clowning (took a show to Edinburgh Fringe this past August, yay!). But I have missed working with little ones! Play, discovery, and having a healthy relationship with The Flop (failure) is important to my work as a performance artist as well as when working with kiddos. I'm learning no other work is as enriching or fulfilling than nurturing and supporting a child's security, creativity, curiosity, and individuality! So much so that I am in process of finding a Master’s program in Early Childhood Education with hopes to teach within the intersection of the performing arts and childhood development. I am committed to supporting and creating a reliable safe haven and secure base for kiddos so they may thrive, play, and learn with confidence. I myself have learned a lot and been inspired by my own inner-child healing and children’s advocacy self-study. In my own personal life, a lot of my time and energy is spent using the arts as a healing modality, as well as working through generational trauma and dysfunctional family patterns and behaviors. I find that this work has taught me to become a more empathetic, nurturing, and patient caregiver and has greatly impacted how I relate to children in particular. I am incredibly careful and intentional with my time spent around kids and hope to provide only the warmest, most supportive, and gently engaging environment. Thank you so much for your consideration and time and I look forward to supporting your family any way I can :o)

I also have experience caring for cats and dogs of various ages and sizes.
Hi, I’m Mary Ellen (M.E. for short). I’m a warm, compassionate, attentive caretaker and graduate student. I’m looking for part-time to full-time opportunities while I complete my degree. I have experience with infants, toddlers, pre-teens, special needs adults, and pets. I currently provide community habilitation services to young women with autism and intellectual disabilities, including remote job coaching, mentorship, and executive functioning support. With years of reporting, interviewing, and managing complex workflows as a journalist, I bring strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills to caregiving. My background has trained me to stay calm under pressure, listen closely, and respond thoughtfully when supporting my clients. I’m organized, dependable, and skilled at creating structure while encouraging independence and creativity. My experience collaborating with diverse communities has strengthened my ability to connect with individuals from different backgrounds and build trust quickly. Hi! My name is Alexa and I’m a responsible, caring, and reliable babysitter with a genuine love for working with children. I enjoy creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment where kids feel comfortable and happy. I’m patient, attentive, and always focused on each child’s individual needs. I love engaging children in age-appropriate activities such as arts and crafts, reading, games, and outdoor play, while always prioritizing their safety and well-being. Families describe me as trustworthy, warm, and easy to communicate with. I understand how important it is for parents to feel confident and at ease when leaving their children in someone else’s care, and I take that responsibility very seriously. I would love the opportunity to support your family and care for your little ones!
