I started babysitting in 2012, when I was a freshman at NYU. I'm now 34 and work as a writer/editor in the insurance industry. I’m available on the weekends (Friday night through Monday night) for babysitting. From 2011 to 2017 (before I left NYC temporarily for grad school), I babysat for 10-40 hours each week. I am skilled in social-emotional learning (SEL) and working with children with ASD (autism spectrum disorder), Levels I, I, and III; OCD; and ADHD. I am also skilled in helping kids cope with anxiety, anxious thinking, or anxiety-related behavior patterns. My hobbies include reading, spending time with my friends, and kayaking. I also have an M.F.A. in fiction writing, and I love talking to both kids and adults about books and writing! Some other helpful info: I am comfortable with pets and light housework/pet care.
