Hi I’m an older college student looking to work with some fun kids! I’ve been babysitting and nannying since I was ten years old. The first time I was first aid and infant CPR certified was at fourteen years old. My favorite family was a family friend that I babysat for regularly. It started with two kids elementary age and ended with four kids ranging from infant to middle school age. I love outside activities with kids to get energy out and doing projects or “homework” that is fun for the kids and also helps them learn. I am open to a lot of situations.

I have several years of childcare experience, including nannying for a one-year-old for the past year and caring for a two- and three-year-old for two years. I’ve also worked at summer camps, so I’m comfortable planning activities and keeping kids engaged. I’m outgoing, reliable, and easy to communicate with. I’m currently in graduate school for counseling, which has strengthened my ability to connect with children and support their emotional development. I also have experience caring for cats and dogs and am very comfortable with pets. My schedule is flexible.

Hi my name is Perla and I am a single mom that is going back to school to obtain a speech and language pathology certification. My bachelors degree is in child and adolescent development. I am pet friendly and have pets of my own and am excited to work with families while my kiddos are at school. My kiddos are 6 and 8 so I have plenty of first hand experience as well. My formal education background is in art history so I love encouraging creativity in children. I have been babysitting since I was 11 (starting as an assistant to my older sister). I love getting to know the child's interest and joining them in their play. With my past families, I began watching them as infants and into their toddler years. With some of the children, we had a great time building forts or lego cities of their dreams! In the past, I've taken the Red Cross Babysitting certification which breaks down the stages of child development. It also taught signs of emergency situations. I've also grown up with many cousins and was lucky to gain experience babysitting them at all ages. I've also had past experience in cat sitting which was very minimal (feeding, ensuring medication was taken, and cleaning litter). I believe I've gained more insight now that I live with two cats aged 1 and 3! I also spent a summer cleaning vacation rentals within an allotted three hour window with provided supplies. When it comes to cleaning, I pride myself in being very detailed oriented.
