I also accompanied his mom on several doctor’s visits, helping out wherever I could. I’ve also cared for a 1-year-old girl and a 3-year-old boy. We’d often take walks to the nearby park where the older boy loved playing hide-and-seek. I bottle-fed the baby girl, rocked her to sleep, and made sure both children felt safe and cared for while her mom did her long nurse shifts. In addition to babysitting, I help my mom raise my energetic 1.5-year-old baby brother. He’s always on the move, loves to climb, dance to music, and pull me by the hand to play with his cars. Taking care of him has taught me patience, attentiveness, and how to manage the unexpected—which, with toddlers, happens often!
