Hi, my name is Sara. I’m a mom to 2 great kids ages 11 and 9. I am offering childcare, senior care, pet sitting/care, and household services. I have a lot of kid experience, from raising my own, to volunteering at the elementary school, to watching my friend’s kids. I also used to work at an elementary school and with kids in a living history experience. I have been caring for pets through another app for 11 years and have worked as a veterinary technician. I am confident with all animals. I have cooked professionally since 2002 and can accommodate various dietary restrictions. I love kids and animals. With my own kids I try to keep them busy outside or with crafts, and off of screens as much as possible.

My proudest accomplishment is raising my two sons into caring young adults. Second proudest is earning my degree in elementary education at 40 years old. I have always had a love for working with children and helping them grow and learn. I currently work as a substitute teacher for Tacoma Public Schools, so my schedule is flexible. When my younger son was a toddler, he joined me at my job as a daycare assistant, where I assisted caring for a small group of toddlers, as well as provided one on one care for a sweet baby from when he was three months old until he turned one. I have stayed in touch with their family and have enjoyed seeing the young man he has become. I also spend a lot of time with my 5 year old twin nieces, and we love dancing, reading, and going on nature walks. I have experience in creating engaging and educational activities for children of all ages. I am currently learning ASL through weekly online classes. I believe in open communication with both parents and children. I am always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that each child in my care feels loved, safe, supported, and valued.
