I am a highly experienced caregiver and educator offering a premium, enrichment-focused childcare experience. With a doctorate in music and over 20 years of service as a youth teacher in my church community, I bring a unique blend of academic depth, creativity, and nurturing care to each family I work with. As a mother of two (ages 11 and 16), I understand firsthand the importance of consistency, structure, and emotional attunement. I create an environment where children are not only well cared for, but also intellectually and creatively engaged through music, guided learning, and thoughtful interaction. My weekday afternoons are dedicated to my work as a piano instructor and to caring for my own children; I am now intentionally seeking to support younger families during morning/early afternoon hours, where I can offer high-quality care. I approach every child with the same level of love, attentiveness, and responsibility that I give my own, and I value building strong, trusting relationships with both children and parents.
I am a 2nd grade teacher with an Early Childhood Education background. I have been teaching for 6 years. Prior to this I was a full time nanny or live in nanny from 19-26. I have cared for a variety of children from infants to teenagers. My primary care has been infants through age 8. I have cared for high special needs kids as well such as Down syndrome, autism, and childhood cancer. I also am a mom to a level 1 autistic child who’s 7. I am seeking part time work and would not be bringing my own child. I work full time as a teacher during the school year and will be off all summer seeking occasional babysitting or tutoring if interested.
I am a caring, reliable, and experienced childcare provider with a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a teaching credential. I also hold a BA in Art History and Studio Art, and I love bringing creativity, art, and imagination into everyday play and activities with children. As a mother of a 13-year-old son and two older stepdaughters, I bring both professional knowledge and real-life parenting experience. I enjoy working with children of all ages and personalities, creating a warm, safe, and engaging environment where they feel supported, confident, and happy. I value kindness, patience, creativity, and connection, and I truly enjoy helping children learn, play, and grow.
Here is a little bit about me, Had experience of babysitting and tutoring kids from age range of 6 - 12 years when I was in college. Have Knowledge in basic child safety, hygiene I am very observant and attentive, ensuring children’s safety and emotional comfort. Most importantly caring for kids brings me so much joy — I truly enjoy being part of their learning and development.
I recently moved back to the area and am seeking childcare opportunities. My ample experience with kids in both childcare settings and as a counselor make me uniquely qualified for any childcare position. I worked as a child trauma counselor for children of all ages for five years. This experience provided me with an astute ability to connect emotionally with children, understand their needs, and help them to feel safe. I have a Masters in Social Work and Bachelors in Psychology; and worked as a babysitter and nanny for various families while in school. While studying for my Bachelors, I worked at a daycare for four years. I have a year of experience providing behavioral therapy to children and teens with autism and/or developmental disabilities, in addition to caring for kids with special needs in nannying settings. I have adored developing strong bonds with children throughout my life.
