Hello! I’m a 3rd year undergraduate student at UC Davis. I have experience working at a daycare for 4 years. I’ve also provided one-on-one tutoring throughout high school, so I’m comfortable helping with homework and creating a supportive environment. As for pets, I have a cat of my own, so I’m happy to help with pets and their care as well! I would absolutely love to contribute to your home in a meaningful way :)
Hi! My name is Gia and I am an animal science major at UC Davis. I grew up in the Bay Area and throughout my life the things that brought me the most joy have been little kids and animals. I am offering my services for childcare and pet care. I started babysitting in middle school and have babysat on a regular basis for numerous families with kids of all different ages and pets of all different types. I am also a seasoned pet sitter and house-sitter. With these jobs my responsibilities have included playing with the kids, making basic meals, helping with homework and tutoring, driving kids, bathing and putting to sleep, running errands, cleaning, laundry, changing diapers, etc. Additionally, I am a camp counselor at a kids horseback riding and crafts summer camp which has given me lots of experience caring for many kids at once and in an environment with lots of potential hazards.
I worked as a Taekwondo Instructor from freshman to senior year of high school. As an Instructor, I began assisting classes around age 10 to which by age 15 I was permitted to teach my own classes and create unique lesson plans for the day. My job was to tailor an engaging curriculum each day for students with a range of learning styles, disabilities, strengths and weaknesses. I often experiment and designed new drills to accommodate my vast audience ranging from as old as three to as young as seventy-eight. I also volunteered and coordinated the Taekwondo summer camp program where parents were able to drop off their kids and we would have a whole day planned filled with fun activities, snacks, nap time, and arts and crafts. I also recently completed an internship through the UC Davis PEDS Infusion Center. During my spring and summer quarter shifts, I would provide one-on-one bedside support through age-appropriate play and therapeutic art activities to help pediatric patients process treatment related anxiety. I would also relieve some of the parents so they were able to take a quick break while I watched and engaged with their child as they were getting their treatment done. Some examples were holding and soothing their baby, playing cards or board games, or participating in coloring and art therapy. I was also responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing toys, to maintain infection prevention standards for immunocompromised patients.
Hello, my name is Layla, Im 28, and I have a 1-year-old little boy at home. I currently nanny for a family a few days a week, but am looking to make an extra income with the occasional date nights, or out of towners looking for sitters. I have plenty of references and years of experience with different families of various ages. My son is the highlight of my life and I would treat your kids no less. I could make a positive impact on somebody's family, and can also provide reliable pet care if needed. I am very animal friendly. My qualifications include CPR, and First Aid certified. Please feel free to message me for any further questions.
Flexible college student with multiple years of caregiving experience. I have gained most of my experience babysitting for family members. I now volunteer with children regularly, both shadowing pediatric therapy and as an overnight camp counselor for foster youth. I am able to quickly and calmly navigate a range of situations, my main goal always being safety, growth, and fun. Open to both one-time and regularly occurring positions. Feel free to reach out with any questions!
