Hi, Im Isabella a Sophomore at UCSB studying Environmental Studies. I’m offering child care and if needed light household care with it. I just started with UrbanSitter! I have worked with kids for around 3 years now. I’ve worked at the boys and girls club, science nights for elementary schools, teaching elementary students with Sprout Up, and have done babysitting before I would be a great tutor for pre-k to 3rd grade if wanted mostly in reading. I can do errands around the house as well depending on the task. I also have worked at an animal shelter only for a little bit have been dog sitting dogs since elementary school for family and friends!

I studied Engineering at San José State University and have several years of experience working with children. I worked as an after-school STEM Educator in the Santa Clara School District at an elementary school, where I taught kids basic engineering concepts through hands-on activities, building projects, and problem-solving exercises. I enjoyed making learning fun while helping students develop creativity, teamwork, and confidence. I also worked as a YMCA instructor, teaching children basketball and soccer. I’m patient, responsible, energetic, and enjoy creating a safe and positive environment where kids can learn and have fun.

As the second oldest of seven children, I have spent most of my life caring for kids. From ages 17 to 19, I was the sole caregiver for my two youngest siblings, then ages 0 to 4, due to an illness in the family. I started babysitting at a young age and quickly built a reputation for being especially good with young children. I went on to work in K-12 summer camps for four summers, then spent two years as a program leader in a K-8 public school afterschool program. During my thirteen years as a flight attendant, I completed annual first aid training, including infant and child CPR and Heimlich maneuver certification. I live in Cole Valley with my small, perfect dog Lola and my partner, who works at a tech start up. I'm reliable, responsible, and very flexible with scheduling. I hold an undergraduate degree in Global Studies and am currently transitioning into education and social impact work. I stay active in the community through food insecurity and youth literacy volunteer programs, as an avid reader, I love to spread my love of books to the next generation! I am a deeply curious and empathic person who believes in meeting someone where they are at and always listening first. I have pets my entire adult life and am also happy to pet sit or take your furry friend for a walk.
