I do charge for the entire time booked, even if you arrive home earlier than the agreed end time. LATE POLICY: If you think you are going to be late or would like to stay out later, please send me a text or phone call an hour beforehand. If not notified, an overtime charge will be applied to double the time you are late. CANCELLATION POLICY: No fee for cancellation up to 48 hours notice. Under 48 hours notice will be charged a 50% cancellation fee. Under 24 hour notice will be charged full fee.

I am an HR Professional with a bachelor’s degree in Business yet part of me wishes I had an educational background to work with children. So babysitting gives me the opportunity to do what I enjoy the most! I was an urbansitter nanny all throughout college in San Francisco as my one and only job for 5 years. I cared for children of all ages, from 3 months - 14 years old. My long term families were for children ages 1-5 and 11-14. In addition to my own work experience, I grew up at home with a family childcare, thus I am comfortable being around up to 8 children at once since my mother is a licensed childcare provider. I currently babysit a 4 year old once a week (Jan 2024 - today) My favorite part about babysitting is teaching children through play. It’s rewarding to see a child grow and see how much they learn along the way. I have a tight schedule but if I am available to babysit on weekends and weekday evenings. I have a car and I am also fluent in Spanish.

I raised two wonderful humans to adulthood, and have been teaching high school English for 15 years while earning numerous awards and commendations. I also come trained as a first responder through 15 years of experience with Search and Rescue which includes certification as EMR (including First Aid, CPR, and AED for infants through adults) as well as numerous awards and commendations. I volunteered for 10 years in the youth program at my church (Calvary Chapel, Reno/Sparks), worked as the lead teacher of the school-age summer program at Little Knights and Maidens, led the youth program at my local library for many years, and led my own children through myriad sports and activities (soccer, dance, 4H, Scouts, etc). As my own children are recently off to college, I find myself with more time on my hands, and I would love to serve my community while making some extra tuition money for my own kids.
