I’m currently offering dependable backup care for times when your regular caregiver isn’t available. My love for children began early as the oldest of 10 and grew even deeper through the experience of raising my own twins, who are now college graduates. I especially enjoy caring for newborns through age 7 and have lots of experience with twins and multiples. I love creating a calm, nurturing environment with storytelling, age-appropriate play, and plenty of warmth and encouragement. I’m also currently training to become a certified infant sleep consultant and enjoy supporting new parents with gentle routines and postpartum care. I have been working with children for about 25 years. I have experience working with multiple children at a time and children different ages, including infants. Working with children has always been my passion. I am very energetic and love taking kids for walks, to the park, library, enjoy doing art projects, read books and just love watching kids grow and watch them learn new things. For this reason, I’m not able to provide care for sick children or in homes where someone is currently unwell (cold, flu, fever, cough, etc.). If I arrive and notice signs of illness that I wasn’t informed about in advance, I may need to step away from the booking to avoid the risk of spreading anything to other children and families. I began babysitting for family friends in high school and later moved on to child care center based positions.
