Hi! I am a sitter with nearly 10 years of experience. Right now I am looking for occasional work to go alongside my 9-5. So think date nights, weekends in the day, or help after school! I do not have my own car but I have a clean driving record and am happy to drive your car if needed. I have worked with ages ranging from 6 months - 13 years. I previously worked as an English teacher in Spain with children ages 3-12, where I helped in social science, earth science, art, language and physical education classes. Additionally, I was an outdoor adventure camp counselor in San Jose where I taught outdoor sports, such as kayaking and mountain biking to children ages 4-8. And I have babysat children of all ages, from infants to pre-teens. I am comfortable with all things baby to helping with middle school homework! I also enjoy doing fun games, crafts and activities with kids. I am passionate about teaching children about the outdoors and furthering their educations, and I am sure to make every child feel comfortable and safe in my care. I love all animals, and am willing to help clean up around the house a bit and do some cooking. I look forward to meeting you and your kiddos!
I’m new to UrbanSitter, but I bring many years of experience working closely with people and families in roles requiring maturity, good judgment, warmth, and reliability. I’m especially comfortable with the practical rhythm of helping a household run smoothly—school pickups and driving, errands, meal preparation, light household organization, time with children, and caring for pets. I’m active, energetic, and genuinely enjoy being engaged rather than simply supervising from the sidelines. My professional background is in coaching, movement, mindfulness, and wellness, so I’m accustomed to working with people in a patient, attentive, and grounded way. I communicate clearly, notice what needs attention, and understand the importance of respecting each family’s routines and preferences. I’m currently most interested in part-time, temporary, occasional, or coverage needs, including date nights, weekend help, transportation, errands, and family-assistant support. And as a devoted dog person myself, I’m very comfortable in homes with pets.
“I’ve known Mary for several years in a mentor/mentee relationship and would recommend her without hesitation as someone a family can trust. She is exceptionally responsible, dependable, caring, and conscientious. I’ve seen firsthand how seriously she takes the wellbeing of people and animals in her care. Mary is calm under pressure, communicates clearly, follows through on commitments, and has the maturity and judgment I would personally want in someone responsible for my children. She is also active, engaging, and genuinely enjoys helping and caring for others. While I have known Mary personally rather than employing her as a nanny, I can speak confidently to her character, reliability, and integrity. I would feel completely comfortable entrusting her with significant responsibility.”
Hello! My name is Alondra, I recently graduated from UCR and now back in San Francisco. I have been babysitting since I was 15 and all of my jobs have been working with kids. In high school I was an after school teacher/counselor and for summer I was a summer program teacher. In college I was a tutor for an elementary student and taught them Spanish. I am also a dog owner so I would also be able to take care of your pets.
Hi! I'm Rachael. I'm 27 and live in the Marina. I found my passion for working with kids when I was 13 years old and became a mothers helper. From there, I've worked at different schools, internships at speech clinics, and eventually earned my Master's in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). I've also worked for several ABA clinics supporting children with disabilities, and I'm very comfortable with positive behavior strategies. I am experienced working with newborns, infants, toddlers, and school-aged children. What matters most to me is connecting with your child, using positive reinforcement (like praise, attention, and play), and creating a comfortable, safe space for them. When I'm with your child, you can leave and genuinely not worry. I come prepared with high energy and hands-on activities. 99% of the time, they're having so much fun that they forget to check the door :)
Hello! My name is Salika B, and I’m a responsible, compassionate, and energetic babysitter with over two years of hands-on experience caring for children of all ages—from infants to pre-teens. I truly enjoy spending time with kids and take pride in creating a safe, supportive, and joyful environment where they feel loved, respected, and encouraged to be themselves. I specialize in planning fun, educational, and age-appropriate activities that spark creativity and promote learning—such as arts and crafts, imaginative play, outdoor games, storytime, and basic educational games that support early development. I’m also comfortable helping with homework, preparing healthy snacks or meals, and maintaining routines like bedtime and screen time in a calm and positive way. What sets me apart is my patient and caring nature, my reliability, and my genuine passion for helping children grow with confidence and curiosity. I understand the importance of trust and open communication with parents, and I’m always happy to work together to ensure your child’s unique needs are met. Please don't hesitate to contact me at [removed]) if you have any questions or would like to discuss how I can best support your family. I look forward to the opportunity to care for your little ones! Thank you for considering me as your babysitter!
