Howdy- My name is Kevin and I am excited to meet you and your family! I work full time at a highly regarded Montessori in Corte Madera, caring for 18-36 month-olds and also have experience in a classroom with ages 4-6. I hold an AMI assistant to infancy diploma from Montessori Northwest. If you’re struggling with toilet training, language, sleeping, behavioral issues ect, I have plenty of skills and strategies to share. In a non teacher role, I have lots of experience with all ages. I love being outside and playing sports. I can coach basketball, football, swimming, and skating on a meaningful level however, I’m happy to facilitate any kind of sport, craft, or activity. I am confident watching multiple children and pets at once. Ensuring everyone’s safety/comfort is always my main priority. I hope I get the opportunity to enrich your child’s experience on your night out!
***Update: Please message me for availability- the calendar on here is rarely updated. Thank you! :-) ************************************************************** Hello! I'm a Bay Area native and I was a childcare provider and nanny for over 10 years in San Francisco before I began my teaching certification program. I really enjoy working with families and still keep in close contact with the last family I worked with. In the past, I've also worked for the Y.M.C.A. as a coach and teacher for children in their camp program. I love doing arts and crafts activities, and going on outside adventures with kids to parks, museums (California Academy of Sciences is a great one!), and libraries. Most of my past jobs working with families were referrals from other families I worked with, so this is my first time using an online site to apply for positions. My certifications are in Special Education EC-12th grade, E.S.L. EC-12th grade, English Language Arts and Reading 7th-12th grade, and General Education EC-6th grade. While working on my credential I completed internship hours in an elementary school classroom working with children on the Autism Spectrum. My experience in the internship was so inspiring that I decided to make Special Education a focus in teaching. I'm taking this semester off from teaching so I’m mostly tutoring, but also available for occasional babysitting. I really enjoy babysitting because it gives me the opportunity to be creative, no matter what age the child is, with play and learning activities. As an Educator, I am passionate about incorporating play into education to make learning accessible for every child. My schedule isn’t usually updated on the app, so please feel free to send me a message inquiring about a date. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you! Sincerely, Reese
Hello prospective families! My name is Chelsea. I pride myself on being dependable, responsible, and honest. I am looking for date night or occasional jobs that can fit into my schedule. I am a graduate of the University of Virginia (B.A. & M.P.P) and University of Michigan (MBA) and will start my full time job at the end of summer. For over four years I worked with children from newborn through four-year-olds in a children's ministry in addition to routinely babysitting for families including daycare pick-up/drop-off. I am CPR certified and completed a refresher course. As a preteen, I began watching children as a mother's morning helper and continued babysitting throughout graduate school. My background is in the arts, cheering, and dance. The summer before leaving for college I worked as a performing arts instructor teaching children between the ages of 4 to 14. I enjoy spending time with kids and finding creative activities to fill the time. If you are looking for an enthusiastic and responsible sitter, please reach out to me. *As I drive my car to jobs, please let me know what the available parking in your area is when you request a booking **Please note, I am unable to accept bookings if anyone in the household has been sick within the last 48 hours. For occasional babysitting jobs, I do charge for an in-person interview. Additionally, due to a peanut allergy, I am unable to prepare or feed children food with peanuts. I do charge a 50% fee for cancellations without a 24 hours notice. Thank you for your consideration.
With going on 6 years of experience caring for one family, I developed strong childcare skills, including managing routines, and keeping kids entertained through engaging activities. I have been on UrbanSitter for almost 2 years and have worked with various families as a repeat sitter! I also have experience caring for my younger siblings and cousins in my big family. I moved for to the Bay Area/Berkeley for college, which led me to transition from my previous long-term position. I’m reliable, nurturing, and love helping kids grow! I am able to drive kiddos around in the family’s car and run errands if needed! I don’t own a car in the Bay Area
“Milissa was very warm and my connected really well with her. They talked a lot and had fun together, and Milissa took care of all her needs and made sure my daughter was ready for bed before I came back. Would def book her for help again. Thank you!”
