I’m a recent UC Berkeley graduate, 22 years old, with a B.A. in English Literature, and I still live in Berkeley. I’ve grown up in a care-oriented, family-centered household with three younger brothers, and helping to raise them has been a central part of my life. From feeding, dressing, and managing bedtime routines to helping with homework and keeping them entertained, I’ve learned firsthand how to balance responsibility, patience, and fun. That lifelong experience, combined with babysitting for other families, has given me a strong foundation in childcare and a deep appreciation for creating nurturing, safe, and engaging environments for children of all ages. I love being active and outdoors, so I enjoy hiking, running, and exploring new spaces with kids, as well as quiet time reading or telling stories to spark creativity and imagination. Hi! I have a lot of babysitting experience, paid and unpaid, from babysitting younger siblings and cousins to neighbors and family friends. I used to tutor kids at the Mathnasium and can defintely help with homework. I’ve also been a court appointed special advocate for a foster child, so kids with challenges do not scare me. Hi, my name is Marcie and I have two kids of my own who are now 28 and 23. Both of my kids have moved away from home and I now have a lot of free time. I work for UCSF Pediatric Neurology full time but my days end early. I created an urban sitter account to helps parents in need in the afternoon and occasionally on the weekends.
