Hello! My name is Amada, and I’ve had the joy of caring for children and supporting Bay Area families for the past 15 years. I’m currently offering dependable backup care for times when your regular caregiver isn’t available. My love for children began early as the oldest of 10 and grew even deeper through the experience of raising my own twins, who are now college graduates. I especially enjoy caring for newborns through age 7 and have lots of experience with twins and multiples. I love creating a calm, nurturing environment with storytelling, age-appropriate play, and plenty of warmth and encouragement. I’m also currently training to become a certified infant sleep consultant and enjoy supporting new parents with gentle routines and postpartum care. I’d love to be a trusted helping hand when your family needs one!
Hello Families, My name is Dora. I graduated from the University of Washington and am currently pursuing a Master’s in Teaching and a California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. I come from a family of educators, and working with children has always been an important part of my life. I have extensive experience working with children from infancy through elementary school, including experience as a preschool teacher, substitute teacher, private tutor, and childcare provider. My background in education and childcare has given me a strong understanding of child development, positive guidance, classroom routines, and age-appropriate learning and play. I’m CPR certified and a Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator, with additional training in autism and neurodiversity. Working with children is something I truly enjoy, especially getting to know each child’s personality and interests. Reading, arts and crafts, outdoor activities, board games, and trips to the park are some of my favorite things to do with kids. Activities can always be adjusted based on the child’s interests and the family’s routine. However, my availability is currently limited, and I’m mainly accepting occasional bookings that are a good mutual fit. BOOKING POLICY: For schedule changes within 48 hours that reduce the booked hours, the original hours are expected to be honored. Thank you for understanding! :) Warmly, Dora
I am currently working in a TK classroom at an elementary school in Santa Clara. I also go to school full time. I would like to pick up some occasional babysitting hours in the evenings and on weekends. I have always enjoyed working with children and their families. I have past experience with all ages, infant through school age. My job titles included babysitter, teacher' s aide, teacher and center director. I began babysitting for family friends in high school and later moved on to child care center based positions. I did take a break to be at home with my daughter and was able to take some ECE classes as well. I have experience as the primary caregiver at a nursery center for ages 6 months to 2 years. I was also the director of a Child Development Center as well as a before and after school teacher. I have also cared for young children in my home which included overnight accommodations as needed by the families. I really enjoy a play based atmosphere.
“Rachel came early upon last minute request and did dishes after the kids went to bed. She was very helpful and great at putting the kids to bed.”
Hi! My name is Michelle. I have over 15 years of experience working with children, from newborns to 12 years old. My background includes 10 years in daycare and preschool settings, along with 5 years as a professional nanny. Most of my nanny experience has been with infants under 12 months old, but I truly enjoy working with toddlers and older children as well — engaging them in fun, developmentally appropriate, and enriching activities tailored to their age and personality. I am currently working full-time with a family and am looking to pick up additional hours on weekends or for date nights. I’m happy to provide reliable, consistent care for families who need occasional support. I also offer pet-sitting services if needed. My childcare style is gentle yet firm — calm, patient, and attentive, while still being playful and engaging. I value creating a nurturing, structured environment where children feel safe, respected, and encouraged to explore and grow at their own pace. Certifications & Background: • Bilingual in Korean and English • Background in Early Childhood Education • Completed coursework in Child Development • CPR certified • TrustLine registered I would love the opportunity to support your family and care for your little one. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile! Warm regards, Michelle
“Michelle has been great when we've worked with her! Our 4 year old daughter has special needs which requires a very patient, kind, and understanding individual and Michelle has been all of the above. She picked up all of the instruction we gave her about our daughter's specific needs, asked appropriate questions, and has always shown interest in her growth and development even beyond their time together making suggestions of games/activities she might enjoy. We would definitely recommend Michelle.”
Hi- My name is Susana, I have been around children my whole life since my mom did a lot of babysitting when I was younger. I had the opportunity to learn a lot of things from her such as supervising children, practicing good hygiene, and organizing age-appropriate activities. Over the last past three years, I have had the opportunity to care for children under the company name Jovie/ Bright Horizon. Working with multiple families throughout my babysitting experience has deepened my passion for understanding child development. Seeing children grow and reach their milestones has been incredibly rewarding, inspiring me to continue making a positive impact on their lives.
“My daughter enjoyed talking and playing with Susana. I appreciate when Susana accepted my booking last minute when my daughter was not feeling well.”
