Hi, my name is Marcie and I have two kids of my own who are now 28 and 23. Both of my kids have moved away from home and I now have a lot of free time. I work for UCSF Pediatric Neurology full time but my days end early. I created an urban sitter account to helps parents in need in the afternoon and occasionally on the weekends. I have years of experience with kids due to having my own but I also occasionally help out with my sisters daycare. We care for 4-6 children ages 6 months - 5 years old.

As the second oldest of seven children, I have spent most of my life caring for kids. From ages 17 to 19, I was the sole caregiver for my two youngest siblings, then ages 0 to 4, due to an illness in the family. I started babysitting at a young age and quickly built a reputation for being especially good with young children. I went on to work in K-12 summer camps for four summers, then spent two years as a program leader in a K-8 public school afterschool program. During my thirteen years as a flight attendant, I completed annual first aid training, including infant and child CPR and Heimlich maneuver certification. I live in Cole Valley with my small, perfect dog Lola and my partner, who works at a tech start up. I'm reliable, responsible, and very flexible with scheduling.
