Hello! - My name is Debbie, and I am a medical student at UCSF. I am offering child and pet care services. I have experiences watching toddlers and kids since the age of 18. In particular, I have worked as a camp counselor for 2-5-year-olds for the Neil Klatskin summer camp in 2018. Additionally, I have served as an undergraduate tutor for K-8 underrepresented students through the Latino Student Fund. I understand how much of a privilege it is take on this role and recognize how important it is to be a source of comfort and guidance to children in their childhood and adolescent years. I am also happy to work with families that have cats!
βDebbie has taken care of our cat, Gigi, several times. Would highly recommend! She is communicative, punctual and caring. She also takes great pet photos that have made us feel confident our fur baby is doing well while we're away :)β
Hello, I'm Sofia! Currently working with a lovely family helping care for their infant daughter (and young doggo!). I completed studies at USF in 2019 with my major in Critical Diversity Studies, and a minor in Legal Studies. I have been a family helper/nanny for over 13 years with children ranging in the ages of newborns to teenagers. I also have worked with six separate families with infant twins, one of which were preemies. I have an excellent driving record in case you are in need of help that requires me to drive. I am a huge animal lover as well, so if you have any pets, I am open to help care for them as well such as walking and feeding them, etc. Currently open to part time work: 1-2 days a week and/or date night help. I cannot commit to specific work days as my schedule varies, but can work with a family that has some schedule flexibility. Thanks in advance! Fully vaccinated & boosted π
βSofia is such a wonderful caregiver; we feel very lucky to have found her to help take care of our baby Grace from 4-6 months old. She is highly professional, knowledgeable about infant feeding and sleeping schedules, and has a very nurturing presence. Sofia was the first consistent babysitter we had, and felt comfortable trusting her with Grace. Sofia took care of Grace at home while I worked from home and took Grace out on walks around the neighborhood so she could have fresh air during the day. In addition, she is wonderful to chat with and learn from. I would highly recommend Sofia to take care of little ones.β
Hey there! I am a nursing student at USF, with a varied schedule week to week. Prior to starting this program, I worked in oncology & public health research, and earned a masters in public health from UC Berkeley. I have enjoyed working with children for years; through child care, school tutoring, and summer camp settings. I have experience caring for children from a wide range of ages (newborns to middle-school age), and caring for multiple children at once. I've spent the most time with 4-5 year old children working at summer camps including Camp Galileo, where I was given the opportunity to educate, lead, learn, and develop my skills with these kids. I was born and raised in San Francisco, so I am able to suggest plans for taking the kids out for the day, often doing some of the same activities and going to the same places I loved as a kid (parks, the SF zoo, the beach, baking, biking, to name a few). I also love hanging out at home with them, playing their own favorite games, cooking, creating art, and reading. I am also CPR-certified.
βMaddy got along great with our three year old daughter! Maddy was prompt, friendly, and jumped right into an active day with our daughter, which included a walk to the nearby park. Definitely recommend!β
βοΈπβοΈπβοΈπβοΈπβοΈπβοΈ Hello, I live in San Francisco and I have been working as a Full Time professional nanny in the Bay Area for over 15 years, working with children starting at 1 month old -- to preschool -- to older children. Caring for multiple children is my specialty and I have a lot of newborn experience, families tell me I am great with infants/babies/toddlers and have a lot of patience and energy for these age groups as well as all the others. I absolutely love my job! π Note: if I apply for your babysitting job, I accept the hourly rate that you set! Working with children keeps me young at heart and I have so much fun doing it. I am a confident person, very organized and love structure but also very relaxed/flexible and people say I have a very calming presence. Basically I will go with whatever flow you have going on in your home and follow your lead and preferences. I have always gravitated towards caring for children. After college (UC Santa Cruz, BA Psychology) I worked as a Literacy Tutor for first graders in East Oakland, and even after some time working in office jobs life lead me back to children. I started working for a Family Day Care center and there I learned valuable knowledge about caring for multiple infants and toddlers at a time. Up to 10-12 kids! It was a natural progression towards nanny work. I love to read to children, play games, creative play, running outside, playing sports, being silly/laughing, etc. My mom was an elementary school teacher and people tell me I am like a teacher. I must take after her :) I am great with infants and toddlers, I recognize non-verbal cues very clearly and think ahead. I take instruction well and I also can do well without any instruction because I have so many years experience and I am a no-nonsense type of personality. I have a genuine interest in every child's well being. Your children will be well taken care of, safe and happy in my care. β€οΈ I am CPR/First Aid certified. I can travel throughout the Bay Area, I have a very reliable car, a 2016 VW Tiguan.
