Howdy! My name is Madison (but I go by Maddi as well, whichever you prefer). I am an environmental scientist and researcher by trade but engage in care giving on the side. A little bit about me: I am the eldest daughter among 6 siblings. As such, I have plenty of practical experience in addition to my years of babysitting while getting my undergraduate and graduate degrees. Regarding my personality and hobbies, I love music, art, learning, and outdoor recreation. I am a multi-instrumentalist musician - I can sing and play the guitar, piano, and ukelele. I listen to a lot of music on the daily and I like to play, listen, and dance to music with the kids I babysit. I enjoy getting in touch with my creative side as much as I can. I love painting, drawing, making random crafts. I also really enjoy reading, going to the library, and going outside whenever I get the chance. Depending on the age of your kids, I am able to help with homework and school work, (particularly with science, english, history, and some lower level maths). I like to engage kids in fun activities and see tv, cell phone usage, and other electronics as more of last resort entertainment methods. I try to stay off of my phone as much as possible when I'm babysitting so that I’m able to be present and engaged. I find that this allows kids to have more fun and also be more present with me. I drive a fully insured, completely up-to-date on maintenance 2021 Toyota Rav4, so I'm able to drop off/pick up kids from school and/or other activities in my own vehicle. I am also comfortable driving other SUVs, trucks, and sedan vehicles as well, so whatever works best for you works for me! I have a spotless driving record and take car safety extremely seriously.
