I have a strong background in caregiving with hands-on experience caring for children, seniors, and pets, along with providing household support. Over the past few years, I’ve worked with families to provide dependable, compassionate, and patient care tailored to individual needs. My experience includes preparing meals, helping with daily routines, administering medication, offering companionship, and keeping a safe, clean environment. I’ve cared for children of various ages, from infants to preteens, and I'm known for being nurturing, responsible, and creative—often engaging kids with educational games, crafts, and outdoor play. I’ve also assisted seniors with mobility support, light housekeeping, errands, and emotional companionship, which taught me the importance of empathy and trust. I’m naturally patient, attentive, and calm under pressure—qualities that are essential in any caregiving role. I’m also organized, respectful of people’s privacy and routines, and take pride in creating a warm, supportive atmosphere wherever I work. Whether it’s a child, an elderly loved one, or a beloved pet, I always give 100% of my care, attention, and respect.
Hello! My name is JaShayla and I am a dependable, caring and responsible childcare provider with experience supporting children and families. I hold a Master of Social Work degree. I also work in a school environment, where I regularly interact with students, parents and staff. I understand the importance of providing children with a safe, nurturing and positive environment. I am patient, attentive and organized. My strengths include maintaining routines and building rapport through age-appropriate activities. I would be honored to provide your family with reliable care and treat your children with the kindness, respect and compassion they deserve.
I work full-time in architecture and have over 20 years of experience caring for children of all ages and needs, from newborns through teens. I enjoy arts and crafts, science experiments, cooking, and active play, and I thoughtfully adapt my care to each child and family. I’m CPR certified with a clean driving record. My experience includes light household chores, meal prep, school pick-ups and drop-offs, bedtime routines, homework help, and supporting multiples and children with special needs. I currently volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters (6.5 years) and serve on the board of NOMAct, where I chair K–12 outreach and lead fun, hands-on architectural learning for kids.
I’m a warm, reliable, and experienced caregiver who truly enjoys working with children. Much of my experience comes from being deeply involved in caring for my four nieces and four nephews from infancy through their high school years and beyond. While not day-to-day, my involvement has been extensive and consistent during the times I was needed, full weekends, outings, and family trips where I managed meals, activities, errands, and daily routines. During those periods, I naturally stepped in as an extension of their parents, creating a calm, structured, and engaging environment. Children connect with me easily - I’m patient, attentive, and genuinely present, which helps them feel comfortable and at ease. I focus on keeping children engaged, active, and cared for, whether that’s preparing simple meals, getting outside, playing games, helping with homework, or creating a calm, easy rhythm at home. Outside of caregiving, I run a home organizing and downsizing business, which reflects my thoughtful, organized, and detail-oriented approach. Available for part-time, after-school, and occasional care.
I have 8+ years of experience in childcare and teaching ballet. I grew up in a large family and have had many childcare and teaching jobs over the past years. Working with children is something I enjoy doing on a weekly basis, as I'm a ballet instructor for a couple studios in the area! I like teaching children concepts and watching them grow in their understanding of them. I've done coursework in Early Childhood Development and would be happy to tutor and assist with online learning. I am also happy to help with Driving, Housekeeping, Laundry, etc. I'm looking for a job with hours mostly in the afternoons and evenings (after I get out of the studio) and weekends.
