Hi - My preferred name is Sam. I have been caring for children since I was 8, when my beautiful nieces and nephews were born. Growing up, I'd help my sister care for her little ones, and naturally, I loved being around them. As I got older, I started occasionally caring for kids in my neighborhood. I became a full-time nanny during the pandemic for a 5-year-old boy. And I am currently a part-time nanny for a 2-month-old baby girl. I am CPR certified. I love animals! I dog-sit when folks are out of town. I'm always happy to help meal prep and help with things around the house. And if you'd like someone to teach your little one Spanish, I'm your girl! I have a calm and warm spirit. And I love tapping into my inner child when it comes to playing with the kids. My major hobbies include songwriting, drawing, and photography. I also love to play guitar, read, and spend time with my pup on my free time. I am currently interested in families looking for a part-time, occasional, date night, or overnight sitter.
I am an energetic and hardworking recent graduate with 10 years of experience of increasing responsibility in childcare. I have recently relocated from the Bronx NYC area, back to the Columbia Heights DC area! I am able to respond efficiently and creatively to unusual or difficult situations and am highly adept at planning and supervising children while constructing a fun and enjoyable atmosphere. Here is a bit of background about me: I grew up in the heart of Washington DC and have worked as a local babysitter for upwards of four years. In addition to having an impressive record of parent and child satisfaction, I am also highly proficient in structuring playtime and lessons to fit the needs of children under my supervision. I can efficiently cook for and feed children, actively engage children in exciting activities ( i.e. park visits, Lego building tournaments, dancing games), and perform light housekeeping if needed. Professionally, I have worked as a middle school math tutor and mentor. I've also worked as a camp counselor at Sidwell Summer and was responsible for creating and supervising daily activities, engaging campers, managing behavior, and maintaining a welcoming an exciting atmosphere.
“Jasmin brings a warm, calming presence to our home when she cares for our kids. She’s patient and very kind with the way she speaks and handles herself. My kids are not very close in age but Jasmin seems to always make sure to engage with them at their level. My 11 year old has mentioned she’s creative and fun while my 2 year old smiles and welcomes her when he sees her (which is a big deal for us). Overall it’s been a pleasure to work with Jasmin and we hope to continue to use her services going forward.”
Hi! I’m Kiley, a 31 year old professional who works on the Hill in operations. I am from Tucson, AZ and spent the majority of my high school and college years babysitting for a couple of the same families consistently and also house sitting. I enjoy yoga and riding horses in my free time. I have two bachelor degrees and a master’s degree from Texas A&M. I am looking for some occasional babysitting/nannying jobs and/or house sitting. Happy to chat more!
Hello families! My name is Claire Guthrie. I am currently living in Idaho, but will be moving to D.C. in June for school. I am going to school for early childhood development, I will be doing classes online and will be attending part time. I am looking for an amazing family to work for as a nanny. I have about 1 1/2 years of experience at a daycare. I worked mostly with toddlers and infants but got a ton of experience with school age children as well. I currently work as a nanny for 18 month old twin boys. I’ve been working with them for 14 months, and enjoyed every moment of it. It breaks my heart to leave, but I need to further my career and get an education. I need to work full time to keep up with living expenses and ask for at least $25 an hour considering I am living by myself, and going to school as well. I am also open to date nights and other babysitting jobs as well! Feel free to reach out if you have any questions! Thanks, Claire
Hi! My name is Sophia and I am a consultant living and working in Northern Virginia. I have experience babysitting children through my college town in Vermont and while growing up in Central Florida. I speak English and Korean fluently, can cook and clean efficiently, and I am very detail-oriented. I also do CrossFit, run, and played collegiate golf. I am committed to providing attentive care that meets the needs of your loved ones! I am very comfortable with dogs and cats, and would happily babysit in households with pets and children or outright watch either. I am also CPR certified!
