My youngest sister was born when I was 14 so I have day-to-day experience caring for a young child in my own family. I babysat my way through college, for individual families and for a few churches in a daycare setting. During the summer I worked day camp for school age children and also did respite work with handicapped children. After college I worked full time in the infant and toddler rooms of an Athletic center in Denver for a year - also privately babysitting for several of those families.
