Hi, my name is A’Raya’ and I ama current sophomore at CSU. I’ve been babysitting children under 1, toddlers, and school aged kids since I was 10-12, starting with my family. I love cooking, art, reading/writing, board games, and writing. I would be able to help with homework and tutoring, meal times, cleaning, and creative activities. I am CPR and AED certified and planning to get my Child Development Associate. I love working with kids and have since worked at two summer camps ranging from ages 4-13. I have taken care of my own for 4 years, including: dogs, cats, fish, and a turtle.

I am a prek sped teacher and willing to work with special needs children or many at once but price may increase for multiples not special needs special prices. However, I want to have clear expectations. I am ell certified and almost a learning behavior specialist. I love art outdoors science and sports! I love to teach through hands on methods and do not raise my voice to children unless an emergency. If this happens, I’ll explain why to the child and tell you. I’m comfortable with many little ones. As a proud mother of two grown, independent adult children, my nest may be empty, but my heart is still completely full of love for little ones. Having successfully navigated the beautiful, chaotic journey of raising my own kids into adulthood, I find myself deeply missing the pure joy, curiosity, and laughter that only children bring. I am eager to channel that enduring warmth, patience, and experience into providing a safe, fun, and loving environment for your children.

I have 1 year of experience as a teachers aid for pre-k through 5th grade and frequently watch and take out my 5 year old nephew for fun activities. I grew up with dogs and get along with them well. I’m patient, kind, and easy going. I’d gladly uphold any parenting guidelines or dietary guidance/restrictions that are preferred. I’m also happy to cook simple/healthy meals. Happy to help with homework when necessary.
